बताया जा रहा है कि ये दुश्मनी करीब 27 साल पुरानी है. बहावड़ी गांव में एक ही परिवार के वेदु और दरियाव सिंह के परिवार के बीच वर्चस्व को लेकर विवाद शुरू हो गया था. बाद में यह विवाद प्रधान पद के चुनाव की रंजिश में बदल गया। सबसे पहले वर्ष 1999 में दरियाव के बेटे जितेंद्र की गोली मारकर हत्या कर दी गयी थी. उस मामले में विवेक मलिक मुख्य आरोपी था. इसके बाद 2000 में वेदू पक्ष के सुरेश मलिक और 2001 में यशपाल की हत्या कर दी गई। इसके बाद कई सालों तक हत्याओं का सिलसिला जारी रहा।

कुछ देर तक मामला शांत रहा, फिर हत्याएं शुरू हो गईं.
लगातार हो रही हत्याओं के बाद गांव के लोगों ने पहल की और दोनों पक्षों के बीच समझौता कराया. करीब दस साल तक मामला शांत रहा। लेकिन साल 2011 में फिर खून-खराबा शुरू हो गया. इसी साल दरियाव के बेटे और मुखिया बिजेंद्र की एक शादी समारोह से लौटते वक्त गला काटकर हत्या कर दी गई थी. इसके बाद 2014 में बिजेंद्र के भाई देवेंद्र और 2016 में धर्मेंद्र की भी हत्या कर दी गई। 2015 में कुख्यात अपराधी विक्की त्यागी की विवेक के बेटे सागर ने मुजफ्फरनगर कोर्ट में हत्या कर दी क्योंकि वह विरोधी पक्ष की मदद कर रहा था। इस तरह दोनों पक्षों के कुल 11 लोगों की जान जा चुकी है.

जेल से बाहर आने के बाद वह फिर से निशाने पर आ गए

इस मामले में जिस हसीन खान का नाम सामने आया है, उसे लेकर भी कोर्ट ने अहम आदेश दिया है. हाई कोर्ट ने प्रशासन को निर्देश दिया है कि वह हसीन खान को तुरंत पुलिस सुरक्षा मुहैया कराए. कोर्ट का कहना है कि किसी भी व्यक्ति के जीवन और संपत्ति की सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करना राज्य की जिम्मेदारी है और इसमें किसी भी तरह की लापरवाही स्वीकार नहीं की जाएगी.

कोर्ट ने दी सख्त चेतावनी
