घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही पुलिस उपायुक्त (सेंट्रल) विक्रांत वीर और एसीपी कैंट अभय प्रताप मल्ल टीम के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे. पुलिस ने घटनास्थल से हत्या में प्रयुक्त खाट बरामद कर ली है. फोरेंसिक टीम ने मौके से उंगलियों के निशान, खून के नमूने और अन्य साक्ष्य एकत्र किए हैं। पुलिस ने मुख्य आरोपी तीरथ राज सिंह और उसकी चार बेटियों को हिरासत में ले लिया है और उनसे पूछताछ शुरू कर दी है. फिलहाल मामले की जांच जारी है.
