उत्तर प्रदेश के अमेठी जिले में चलाए जा रहे “ऑपरेशन चक्रव्यूह” अभियान के तहत पुलिस को बड़ी सफलता मिली है. मोहनगंज थाना पुलिस ने विदेश भेजने के नाम पर लोगों से ठगी करने वाले एक आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। इस कार्रवाई के बाद इलाके में राहत का माहौल है और लोग पुलिस की इस पहल की सराहना कर रहे हैं.

आरोपी लोगों को नौकरी दिलाने का झांसा देता था
पुलिस के मुताबिक गिरफ्तार आरोपी की पहचान इजहार उर्फ ​​मुंशीर निवासी रस्तामऊ थाना मोहनगंज के रूप में हुई है। उनकी उम्र करीब 33 साल बताई जा रही है. आरोपी विदेश में नौकरी दिलाने का झांसा देकर लोगों से पैसे ऐंठता था। वह भरोसेमंद होने का झांसा देकर लोगों को फंसाता था।

लाखों रुपये की धोखाधड़ी का मामला
जांच में पता चला है कि आरोपियों ने पांच अलग-अलग लोगों से करीब 3 लाख 90 हजार रुपये की ठगी की है. उसने नौकरी दिलाने के नाम पर फर्जी ज्वाइनिंग लेटर भी तैयार करवाया, ताकि लोगों को विश्वास हो जाए कि उन्हें विदेश में नौकरी मिल गई है। इस धोखे के कारण लोग उसे पैसे दिया करते थे।

फर्जी दस्तावेजों से पासपोर्ट भी बनवा लिया
मामले की जांच के दौरान यह भी पता चला कि आरोपी ने अपना पता बदल लिया था और फर्जी दस्तावेजों के जरिए पासपोर्ट बनवाया था. वह खुद विदेश जाने की तैयारी में था, ताकि अपने ठगी के काम को आगे बढ़ा सके. पुलिस जांच में यह खुलासा हुआ है.

शिकायत के बाद हुई गिरफ्तारी
एक पीड़ित ने अपने साथ हुई धोखाधड़ी की शिकायत मोहनगंज थाने में की तो पुलिस ने मामले को गंभीरता से लेते हुए जांच शुरू कर दी. इसके बाद आरोपी को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया. पुलिस अब उसके खिलाफ आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई कर रही है और यह भी जांच कर रही है कि क्या उसने अन्य लोगों को भी धोखा दिया है।

लोगों से सतर्क रहने की अपील
पुलिस ने आम लोगों से अपील की है कि विदेश में नौकरी दिलाने के नाम पर किसी भी अनजान व्यक्ति पर भरोसा न करें और किसी भी तरह का भुगतान करने से पहले पूरी जांच-पड़ताल कर लें.

British Conservative MP Bob Blackman has said that people who disrupted Holi celebrations in north-west London earlier this month are “still at large”, even as he marked the latest incidents of violence targeting Hindu and Sikh communities in nearby areas.In a post on X, Blackman said that despite raising the March 3 Harrow incident in the UK Parliament, tensions on the ground have not subsided.Pointing to recent attacks on businesses and individuals in Wembley, he said, “Since I raised this in Parliament, the violence has not stopped… The perpetrators of the original Holi attack remain at large.”The MP had earlier told Parliament that a group of around 20 individuals disrupted Holi celebrations, adding that only one arrest has been made so far, and demanded accountability from the Metropolitan Police.

What happened in Harrow Holi event?

The incident to which Blackman referred took place on 3 March during a bonfire celebration in the Harrow Civic Center car park, which was attended by around 1,000 people.According to the organisers, the event turned tense when a small group of youths allegedly interfered in the proceedings by pulling the sound system’s wires and damaging the equipment. They reportedly returned shortly afterwards with a larger group of 15–20 individuals, some of whom had faces covered, and caused further disruption by throwing objects and clashing with security before fleeing.Police were called to the scene and arrested a 14-year-old boy on suspicion of affray.

The matter was raised in the British Parliament

First raising the matter in the House of Commons, Blackman described the attackers as “thugs” who had come from a nearby mosque and attempted to disrupt a peaceful religious celebration.He urged the UK government to intervene and reassure communities, warning that rising global tensions were beginning to be reflected locally.“As politicians, it is our responsibility to calm things down,” he said, calling for measures to ensure that people can celebrate festivals “in peace and harmony”.Responding to the concern, UK government minister Alan Campbell condemned religious hatred, but refrained from commenting directly on the matter, citing the ongoing police investigation.

Latest violence in Wembley

In his latest comments, Blackman also referred to a series of alleged attacks in Wembley, where Hindu and Sikh-owned businesses have reportedly been targeted in recent days.Local accounts described a number of incidents, including vandalism to restaurants on Ealing Road, attacks on individuals and stabbings. In one such incident, a group allegedly stormed a restaurant, damaged property and attacked people present there. In another, shopkeepers said masked youths vandalized shops and fled before police arrived.Community members have expressed concerns that the same group behind the Harrow disruption may be linked to these incidents, however, this is unconfirmed.

New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday said that New Delhi is trying to buy LPG from everywhere to widen its options for energy supply amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.At the weekly press briefing, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the government is also keen to buy LGP from Russia to meet consumer needs.“We are trying to buy LPG from everywhere, wherever it is available. So if Russia is available, we will go there also. Because the current situation is such that we have to ensure that the fuel needs of our people are met,” Jaiswal said.“I would say we want broader options,” he said.The ministry also reiterated that India has received energy requests from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and other neighboring countries.He noted that India has been supplying diesel to Bangladesh through various modes of transportation since 2007 and continues to assist the South Asian nation along with other neighboring countries.He said, “Regarding energy, we have received requests from many of our neighboring countries, and I had talked about this earlier also. We have received requests from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives and some other neighboring countries. As I indicated earlier, India has been supplying diesel to Bangladesh through various modes of transportation since 2007.”Jaiswal said, “We are continuing to assist Bangladesh and our other neighbours. This is being done keeping in mind our own requirements, refining capacity and availability of diesel.”Meanwhile, the government also urged consumers to use LPG judiciously and explore alternative cooking options where possible.The move comes amid rising tensions in the Middle East involving Iran, the United States and Israel, which have disrupted the global energy supply chain. The movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route that carries about a fifth of global oil and a significant portion of LPG shipments, has been affected.To curb shortages and prevent malpractices, state governments have intensified enforcement measures, including raids, to prevent hoarding and black marketing of LPG cylinders. Also, alternative fuels like kerosene and coal are being used in sectors like hospitality and restaurants to ease the pressure on LPG supply.
