प्रतापगढ़ में टैक्सी ड्राइवर आशिक अली की हत्या के मामले का पुलिस ने खुलासा कर दिया है. पुलिस ने इस मामले के मुख्य आरोपी सपा नेता सद्दाम हुसैन को चौखड़ा पुल के पास से गिरफ्तार कर लिया है. बताया जा रहा है कि आरोपी के खिलाफ पहले से ही हत्या और धोखाधड़ी समेत तीन मामले दर्ज हैं. पुलिस अधीक्षक दीपक भूकर ने बुधवार को पुलिस लाइन स्थित साईं कॉम्प्लेक्स में आयोजित प्रेस वार्ता में इस पूरे मामले की जानकारी दी.

चौखड़ा के जंगल में टैक्सी चालक का शव मिला।
एसपी के मुताबिक नगर कोतवाली क्षेत्र के अचलपुर निवासी आशिक अली का शव सोमवार देर रात चौखरा जंगल में गोली लगी हालत में मिला। इस घटना की जानकारी मृतक के भाई समीर व उसके चाचा को मोबाइल फोन पर दी गयी. सूचना पाकर समीर अपने पड़ोसियों के साथ मौके पर पहुंचा, जहां पुलिस पहले से मौजूद थी. इसके बाद पुलिस ने शव को कब्जे में लेकर जांच शुरू कर दी है.

पुलिस ने अज्ञात व्यक्ति के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया था
मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए पुलिस ने मृतक के भाई समीर की शिकायत पर अज्ञात लोगों के खिलाफ हत्या का मामला दर्ज किया था. घटना का शीघ्र खुलासा करने के लिए पुलिस अधीक्षक ने तीन अलग-अलग टीमों का गठन किया था। इन टीमों ने लगातार जांच और सबूत इकट्ठा करने का काम किया.

जमीन के पैसे के बहाने बुलाकर हत्या
जांच के दौरान पुलिस को पता चला कि आरोपी सद्दाम हुसैन ने घटना से पहले अपना मोबाइल फोन घर पर ही छोड़ दिया था, ताकि पुलिस उसकी लोकेशन ट्रेस न कर सके. पुलिस के मुताबिक, आरोपी ने जमीन की बकाया रकम देने के बहाने आशिक अली को अपने घर बुलाया था. इसके बाद उन्होंने आशिक अली को चौखड़ा गांव की ओर चलने को कहा. जब वे सुनसान इलाके में पहुंचे तो आरोपियों ने पीछे से आशिक अली के सिर में दो गोली मार दी, जिससे उनकी मौके पर ही मौत हो गई.

सबूत नष्ट करने का प्रयास और सहयोगी की भूमिका
हत्या के बाद आरोपियों ने मृतक का मोबाइल फोन जिरियामऊ पुल से सई नदी में फेंक दिया। हत्या में प्रयुक्त पिस्तौल को झाड़ियों में छिपाकर ईंटों से ढक दिया गया था। पुलिस के मुताबिक घटना के वक्त आरोपी का साथी संदीप गुप्ता निवासी बादशाहपुर (जौनपुर) मोटरसाइकिल से उसका पीछा कर रहा था। घटना के बाद दोनों आरोपी मौके से फरार हो गये.

पूछताछ में जुर्म कबूल कर लिया
पुलिस की पूछताछ में आरोपी ने अपना जुर्म कबूल कर लिया. पुलिस के मुताबिक, आरोपी ने पहले भी दो बार हत्या की कोशिश की थी, लेकिन वह सफल नहीं हो पाया था. फिलहाल पुलिस मामले में आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई कर रही है और दूसरे आरोपी की तलाश भी जारी है.

Ex-boyfriend accused of sexual harassment, assault

Citing old reports, he claimed that Naqvi was the same woman who was accused of intimidating and unlawfully restraining her in 2019. Her ex-boyfriend at the time complained that after their breakup, Naqvi had contacted her to remove a social media post on Reddit where the ex-boyfriend had posted something about a sexual harassment investigation involving Naqvi and a professor. Naqvi came to meet him along with another person and got the post deleted from his computer by showing him a knife.

Naqvi was later acquitted of intimidation as the court found many inconsistencies in what Naqvi said. This brings to light yet another case involving Naqvi, who has accused former University of Illinois professor Joseph Petrie of sexual harassment. Petrie claimed that his accuser had blackmailed him and he resigned.

Detained by ICE or not

Naqvi’s sister claimed that she was detained at O’Hare International Airport as she was returning from a trip along with five others. He was then transferred to an immigration facility in Broadview, Illinois, and then to the Dodge County Jail in Wisconsin. The family claimed this all happened between Thursday and Saturday and he was released from the Dodge County Jail on Saturday morning. She said her phone location showed up at an ICE facility, although federal authorities told family members she was not in custody. Cook County Commissioner Kevin Morrison defended the family’s side of the story and said authorities were lying because no due process was followed in detaining the American citizen. Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt said that Naqvi’s family was lying because there was no record of Naqvi being taken into custody. Reed Showalter, a Democratic candidate for Congress from Illinois, said the administration was lying because he was with Naqvi’s family when he went missing. “I was on the ground for this entire thing. The scary thing is not just that this administration is disappearing people. But the entire time they were held in custody, the official story was that they had already been released. While Sunny was in Broadview IL, and her phone showed her location there, ICE claimed they never even saw any of the women. When he was released across the street from another ICE detention center in Juneau WI, they were claiming he was never detained. New Delhi: Two Indian nationals have been killed and another missing in an attack on merchant ships carrying them amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said on Wednesday. Several Indians have also suffered injuries in the Gulf region, the ministry said, adding that consular officials are coordinating medical aid and assistance.External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said at an inter-ministerial briefing on recent developments in West Asia that the government is actively monitoring the situation and providing assistance to the affected citizens.

He said, “There are reports of some casualties. We have two Indian nationals that we have lost, and one is missing. These three Indian nationals are dead or missing. This happened while they were on merchant ships that came under attack. Some Indians who were injured in the GCC region are being treated. Our Consulate is in touch with them.”He also confirmed that the Indian national who was reported injured in Dubai today is undergoing treatment and consular staff are in close contact.“Today, this morning, you may have seen reports that an Indian national has been injured in Dubai. इन दिनों प्रतापगढ़ में गैस एजेंसियों पर लोगों की भारी भीड़ देखने को मिल रही है. बताया जा रहा है कि अमेरिका, इजरायल और ईरान के बीच चल रहे युद्ध की खबर के बाद लोगों में गैस सिलेंडर को लेकर चिंता बढ़ गई है. इस कारण बड़ी संख्या में लोग एलपीजी सिलेंडर लेने के लिए गैस एजेंसियों पर पहुंच रहे हैं। हर दिन सैकड़ों ग्राहक सिलेंडर लेने के लिए एजेंसियों के बाहर कतार में खड़े नजर आते हैं.

सिलेंडर लेने के लिए 1 से 2 घंटे तक लाइन
गैस एजेंसियों पर पहुंचने वाले ग्राहकों को सिलेंडर बुक कराने के लिए करीब 1 से 2 घंटे तक लाइन में खड़ा रहना पड़ता है। हालांकि, बुकिंग के बाद उन्हें गोदाम से सिलेंडर आसानी से मिल जा रहा है। मौजूदा समय में घरेलू गैस सिलेंडर की कीमत करीब 968 रुपये बताई जा रही है। व्यवस्था बनाए रखने और कालाबाजारी रोकने के लिए एजेंसी संचालक भी सक्रियता से काम कर रहे हैं।

खपत प्रतिदिन 800 सिलेंडर तक पहुंच गई
शहर के शिवम गैस एजेंसी के संचालक राजेंद्र तिवारी ने बताया कि युद्ध की खबर के बाद गैस सिलेंडर की मांग अचानक बढ़ गयी है. उन्होंने बताया कि अब उनकी एजेंसी पर रोजाना करीब 800 सिलेंडर की खपत हो रही है, जबकि पहले यह संख्या 600 के आसपास थी. यानी रोजाना करीब 200 सिलेंडर की मांग बढ़ गई है.

प्रशासन ने अफवाहों से बचने की सलाह दी
इस बीच प्रशासन ने भी लोगों से अपील की है कि जिले में गैस सिलेंडर की कोई कमी नहीं है. सभी गैस एजेंसियों पर पर्याप्त मात्रा में सिलेंडर उपलब्ध हैं। प्रशासन का कहना है कि लोग अफवाहों पर ध्यान न दें और जरूरत के मुताबिक ही सिलेंडर लें। इसके अलावा कालाबाजारी रोकने और भीड़ को नियंत्रित करने के लिए प्रशासन की टीम भी लगातार बाजार पर नजर रख रही है.

Chinnaswamy Stadium is all set to host matches in the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season, but there is an important condition attached to it.Board of Control for Cricket in India (bcci) on Wednesday announced the schedule of the first phase of IPL 2026, which will run from March 28 to April 12. The 19th edition of the tournament will begin with defending champions Royal Challengers Bangalore taking on Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

However, matches being held at the prestigious venue are subject to the approval of a government-appointed expert committee.“Since assembly elections are to be held in three states during this period, the complete schedule of the tournament will be announced after the election dates are announced,” the BCCI said in a release.A total of 20 matches will be played in the first phase across 10 venues – Bengaluru, Mumbai, Guwahati, New Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.The BCCI also clarified that the matches in Bengaluru will depend on final security clearance from the authorities.BCCI said, “The matches to be held in Bengaluru are subject to clearance from the Expert Committee constituted by the Government of Karnataka. मुजफ्फरनगर जिले में अपराध के खिलाफ पुलिस की सख्त कार्रवाई एक बार फिर चर्चा में आ गयी है. मुजफ्फरनगर के सिविल लाइंस थाना क्षेत्र में पुलिस और बदमाशों के बीच मुठभेड़ के दौरान एक वांछित आरोपी घायल हो गया, जबकि उसके साथी को पुलिस ने पकड़ लिया. इस कार्रवाई में पुलिस ने दोनों आरोपियों के कब्जे से घटना में प्रयुक्त अवैध हथियार और मोबाइल फोन भी बरामद कर लिया है.

यह पूरी कार्रवाई वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों के निर्देशन में की गई, जिसमें अपराधियों के खिलाफ त्वरित कार्रवाई कर एक बड़ी घटना को होने से पहले ही रोक दिया गया. पुलिस की सतर्कता और त्वरित कार्रवाई से एक व्यवसायी की हत्या की साजिश नाकाम हो गयी.

मुजफ्फरनगर पुलिस मुठभेड़ में बदमाश घायल

घटना मुजफ्फरनगर के सिविल लाइंस थाना क्षेत्र की है, जहां पुलिस को मुखबिर से सूचना मिली थी कि एक व्यापारी से रंगदारी मांगने वाले अपराधी किसी बड़ी वारदात को अंजाम देने के इरादे से बम्हेड़ी रेलवे स्टेशन के पास रेलवे लाइन के किनारे मौजूद हैं.

सूचना मिलते ही सिविल लाइंस पुलिस टीम मौके पर पहुंच गई। पुलिस ने देखा कि दो संदिग्ध व्यक्ति रेलवे लाइन के पास खड़े हैं. जैसे ही पुलिस टीम वहां पहुंची तो दोनों बदमाश घबरा गए और जंगल की ओर भागने लगे.

भागते हुए बदमाश पेड़ों के नीचे छिप गए और पुलिस टीम पर फायरिंग शुरू कर दी। अचानक हुई इस फायरिंग से पुलिस टीम बाल-बाल बच गई. पुलिस ने बदमाशों को आत्मसमर्पण करने की चेतावनी दी, लेकिन उन्होंने चेतावनी को नजरअंदाज कर दिया और पुलिस पर फिर से गोलीबारी शुरू कर दी.

इसके बाद पुलिस टीम ने अदम्य साहस का परिचय देते हुए आत्मरक्षा में जवाबी कार्रवाई की. इस दौरान एक बदमाश गोली लगने से घायल हो गया जबकि दूसरे को पुलिस ने घेरकर पकड़ लिया.

गिरफ्तार अपराधियों की पहचान

पुलिस द्वारा गिरफ्तार किये गये बदमाशों की पहचान इस प्रकार हुई है.

मुठभेड़ के बाद पुलिस ने दोनों बदमाशों की तलाशी ली, जिसमें उनके पास से अवैध हथियार और अन्य सामग्री बरामद हुई.

बरामद कर लिया गया है. पुलिस अब इन मोबाइल फोन के जरिए पूरे नेटवर्क और अन्य संभावित अपराधियों की तलाश कर रही है.

10 लाख रुपये की रंगदारी और हत्या की सुपारी का मामला

यह मामला तब सामने आया जब राजीव जैनजैन पुत्र धर्मचंद्र जैन निवासी पटेल नगर थाना नई मंडी मुजफ्फरनगर ने पुलिस को लिखित शिकायत दी।

उसने बताया कि एक मोबाइल नंबर 7078605136 उसे लगातार फोन कर जान बचाने के नाम पर जान से मारने की धमकी दी जा रही थी 10 लाख रुपये की रंगदारी माँगा जा रहा था.

शिकायत के आधार पर सिविल लाइंस थाना पुलिस ने मामला दर्ज कर लिया है। पुलिस एमओ नंबर 51/2026 अंतर्गत धारा 308(5) एवं 351(4) बी.एन.एस मामला दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।

घटना की गंभीरता को देखते हुए तुरंत एक विशेष पुलिस टीम का गठन किया गया, जिसने तकनीकी और खुफिया जानकारी के आधार पर आरोपियों का पता लगाया.

पूछताछ में हुआ चौंकाने वाला खुलासा

गिरफ्तारी के बाद की गई शुरुआती पूछताछ में आरोपी ने कई सनसनीखेज खुलासे किए.

आरोपियों ने बताया कि वे दोनों लोगों को मारने की सुपारी लेने का काम करते हैं. घायल आरोपी प्रताप चौधरी ने पुलिस को बताया कि जब वह जेल में था तो उसकी मुलाकात उससे हुई थी. अतुल कुमार नामक व्यक्ति के साथ हुआ था।

अतुल कुमार ने उन्हें बताया राजीव जैन की हत्या के लिए 20 लाख रुपये की सुपारी दी गई थी.. इसके बाद दोनों आरोपियों ने योजना बनाई और पहले कारोबारी को डराने के लिए फोन पर 10 लाख रुपये की रंगदारी मांगी.

उन्होंने यह भी बताया कि 4 मार्च 2026 को उन्होंने राजीव जैन को फोन कर धमकी दी थी और अब वे दोनों हत्या करने का मौका ढूंढ रहे थे.

लेकिन इससे पहले ही पुलिस को सूचना मिल गई और मुठभेड़ के दौरान उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया.

वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के निर्देशन में हुई कार्रवाई

यह पूरा ऑपरेशन वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों के निर्देशन में चलाया गया.

कार्रवाई निम्नलिखित अधिकारियों द्वारा निर्देशित थी:

• प्रभारी निरीक्षक सिविल लाइन आशुतोष कुमार सिंह

इन अधिकारियों के नेतृत्व में पुलिस टीम ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए आरोपी को गिरफ्तार करने में सफलता हासिल की.

मुजफ्फरनगर पुलिस एनकाउंटर के बाद जांच तेज हो गई है

मुठभेड़ और गिरफ्तारी के बाद पुलिस अब पूरे मामले की गहनता से जांच कर रही है. पुलिस यह पता लगाने की कोशिश कर रही है कि हत्या की सुपारी देने वाला अतुल कुमार कहां है और क्या उसके पीछे कोई बड़ा आपराधिक नेटवर्क सक्रिय है.

इसके साथ ही आरोपी मो फॉरवर्ड और बैकवर्ड लिंक उनसे यह भी पूछताछ की जा रही है कि वे पहले किन-किन आपराधिक घटनाओं में शामिल रहे हैं.

पुलिस मोबाइल फोन कॉल डिटेल और डिजिटल साक्ष्यों के जरिए पूरे गिरोह का पर्दाफाश करने की दिशा में काम कर रही है.

अपराधियों के खिलाफ पुलिस की सख्त रणनीति

मुजफ्फरनगर पुलिस की इस कार्रवाई को अपराध के खिलाफ सख्त संदेश के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है. हाल के वर्षों में उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस ने संगठित अपराध, जबरन वसूली और सुपारी हत्या जैसे मामलों पर विशेष निगरानी बढ़ा दी है।

खासकर व्यवसायियों और आम नागरिकों को धमकी देने वाले अपराधियों के खिलाफ पुलिस तेजी से कार्रवाई कर रही है. इस मुठभेड़ ने यह साफ कर दिया है कि कानून-व्यवस्था को चुनौती देने वालों के खिलाफ पुलिस किसी भी स्तर पर कार्रवाई करने को तैयार है.

मुज़फ़्फ़रनगर में इस पुलिस मुठभेड़ ने एक संभावित हत्या को होने से पहले ही रोक दिया। पुलिस की त्वरित कार्रवाई और मुखबिर तंत्र की सक्रियता से दो खतरनाक अपराधियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया और एक व्यवसायी की जान बचा ली गयी. अब पुलिस पूरे मामले की गहराई से जांच कर रही है ताकि हत्या की सुपारी देने वाले मास्टरमाइंड समेत पूरे नेटवर्क का पर्दाफाश किया जा सके और जिले में कानून व्यवस्था की स्थिति को और मजबूत किया जा सके.

TVS iQube Electric recorded highest sales of 23,887 units in August 2023

New Delhi: TVS Motor Company reported 4% growth in sales at 345,848 units in August 2023 from 333,787 units in August 2022.

Total two-wheeler sales recorded a growth of 5%, from 315,539 units in August 2022 to 332,110 units in August 2023. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 7%, from 239,325 units in August 2022 to 256,619 units in August 2023.

Motorcycle volumes declined by 6% at 153,047 units in August 2023 compared to 157,118 units in August 2022. Scooter sales recorded a growth of 17%, with sales increasing from 121,866 units in August 2022 to 142,502 units in August 2023.

TVS iQube Electric recorded highest sales of 23,887 units in August 2023, while 4,418 units were sold in August 2022. The company said that the order book of TVS iQube electric scooter remains good.

The company’s total exports recorded sales of 87,515 units in August 2023 as against 93,111 units in August 2022, a decline of 6%. Two-wheeler exports alone recorded a 1% decline in sales at 75,491 units in August 2023, compared to 76,214 units in August 2022.

The company’s three-wheeler sales declined by 25% to 13,738 units in August 2023, compared to 18,248 units in August 2022.

The company’s total exports recorded sales of 79,144 units in June 2023, while it stood at 114,449 units in June 2022. Two-wheeler exports recorded sales of 68,568 units in June 2023, compared to 100,625 units in June 2022.

Ather Energy CEO Tarun Mehta told ET that one in every five two-wheelers sold in India will be electric within the next two years, as manufacturers introduce more affordable models and the network of public charging stations becomes stronger.

With new technology offerings, the company is targeting Gen-Z and sees X as the spearhead of its premium growth strategy in India and international markets. Furthermore, it aims to become a global mobility firm and plans to launch multiple EV products over the next one and a half years. Currently, about 20% of TVS scooters sales are electric, which is expected to double in the next two years.
