अगवानपुर के मुस्लिम भाइयों ने आपस में चंदा इकट्ठा कर अंतिम संस्कार के लिए सारी सामग्री जुटाई. इसके बाद हिंदू रीति-रिवाज के अनुसार उनकी अर्थी को कंधा दिया गया। श्मशान की सुविधा न होने के बावजूद उनका अंतिम संस्कार रामगंगा नदी के तट पर किया गया, जहां एक युवक मोनू ने उनकी चिता को मुखाग्नि दी। यह घटना बताती है कि इंसानियत धर्म से कहीं ऊपर है.

जान बचाने के लिए उठाया गया बड़ा कदम

मामले की जानकारी मिलते ही सेक्टर-142 थाना पुलिस ने आरोपी ड्राइवर को गिरफ्तार कर लिया. आरोपी ने सफाई देते हुए कहा कि ऑटो में बैठा युवक उसका रिश्तेदार था और किराए को लेकर विवाद हुआ था. पुलिस ने ड्राइवर के खिलाफ लापरवाही से गाड़ी चलाने और अन्य संबंधित धाराओं के तहत मामला दर्ज किया है. हालांकि, बाद में आरोपी को जमानत मिल गई।
