Police and security in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir come under Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.Reiterating the concerns raised by NC members, Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather said the national flag will not be safe in Kashmir if those carrying it are unsafe. “Security issues in Jammu and Kashmir should not be taken carelessly,” Rather said. He said the administration should either declare Jammu and Kashmir a risk-free place for politicians and political parties, or ensure proper security.“Recently, Dr Farooq Abdullah had a narrow escape and after that, you removed security from the NC office, where he visits regularly, which is unfortunate,” the Speaker said. “It is a question of those who raise the tricolor, they should be safe.”The Congress also claimed that the security of its Jammu and Kashmir unit chief Tariq Hameed Karra has been withdrawn and the police have informed him that they do not have petrol for escort vehicles and security guards.Earlier, the issue was raised by NC MLAs, with Hasnain Masoodi saying that instead of increasing security at the NC office after the attack on Abdullah, it was withdrawn, and Nazir Gurezi saying that the LG administration would be responsible if any untoward incident occurred. Javed Baig alleged that the NC was being specifically targeted, and questioned why security was not removed from BJP and RSS offices.NC MLA from Hazratbal Salman Sagar said that despite being in the hitlist of terrorists, the security of three MLAs from Srinagar has been withdrawn. ज़िला मुजफ्फरनगर में मिशन शक्ति फेस-5 मुजफ्फरनगर जेल का निरीक्षण इसके तहत जिला प्रशासन और पुलिस विभाग ने संयुक्त रूप से जिला जेल का व्यापक निरीक्षण किया. इस निरीक्षण में जिला जज मो वीरेंद्र कुमार सिंहजिला अधिकारी उमेश मिश्रा एवं वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक संजय कुमार वर्मा प्रधानमंत्री की मौजूदगी से अभियान को खास अहमियत मिली. निरीक्षण का उद्देश्य जेल में बंदियों को मिलने वाली सुविधाओं की गुणवत्ता सुनिश्चित करना और विशेषकर महिला बंदियों को उनके अधिकारों के प्रति जागरूक करना था।

निरीक्षण की शुरुआत पुरुष और महिला बैरक के निरीक्षण से हुई, जहां अधिकारियों ने सुरक्षा व्यवस्था, साफ-सफाई और रहने की स्थिति का विस्तृत अवलोकन किया। अधिकारियों ने यह सुनिश्चित करने पर विशेष जोर दिया कि कैदियों को निर्धारित मानकों के अनुसार सुरक्षित और व्यवस्थित वातावरण प्रदान किया जाए।
रसोई का निरीक्षण करते हुए भोजन की गुणवत्ता, साफ-सफाई एवं निर्धारित मेनू के अनुपालन की समीक्षा की गयी. संबंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिये गये कि भोजन व्यवस्था में किसी प्रकार की लापरवाही न बरती जाये तथा बन्दियों को समय पर पौष्टिक एवं स्वच्छ भोजन उपलब्ध कराया जाये।

उन्हें महिला हेल्पलाइन 1090 और 181 अन्य आपातकालीन सेवाओं की जानकारी दी गई। उन्हें यह भी बताया गया कि किसी भी तरह की समस्या होने पर वे बिना डरे प्रशासन से संपर्क कर सकते हैं.
महिला बंदियों को आत्मनिर्भरता एवं आत्मविश्वास के साथ जीवन की नई दिशा अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया, ताकि वे भविष्य में सकारात्मक बदलाव की ओर बढ़ सकें।

इस दौरान अधिकारियों ने यह भी सुनिश्चित किया कि शिकायतों का समय पर और पारदर्शी तरीके से समाधान किया जाए।
कारागार कार्यालय, अभिलेख व्यवस्था एवं आगंतुक रजिस्टर का निरीक्षण किया गया।
निरीक्षण के अगले चरण में जेल कार्यालय का दौरा शामिल था, जहां रिकॉर्ड रखरखाव और प्रशासनिक व्यवस्था की समीक्षा की गई। यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कि दौरा प्रक्रिया व्यवस्थित और पारदर्शी तरीके से संचालित की जा रही है, विजिट रजिस्टर की जाँच की गई।

निरीक्षण के दौरान जेल में स्थित अस्पताल का भी गहनता से निरीक्षण किया गया. अधिकारियों ने कैदियों को दी जा रही दवाओं की उपलब्धता, ओपीडी व्यवस्था और चिकित्सा सुविधाओं की गुणवत्ता का मूल्यांकन किया।
निर्देश दिये गये कि उपचार व्यवस्था में किसी भी प्रकार की शिथिलता स्वीकार नहीं की जायेगी तथा प्रत्येक बन्दी को समय पर चिकित्सा सुविधा उपलब्ध करायी जाये।

निरीक्षण के अंत में जिला जेल अधीक्षक को शासन की मंशा के अनुरूप सभी बंदियों को आवश्यक सुविधाएं सुनिश्चित कराने के निर्देश दिये गये। साथ ही शातिर बंदियों पर लगातार नजर रखने और जेल परिसर में प्रतिबंधित वस्तुओं के प्रवेश पर रोक लगाने के लिए कड़ी निगरानी रखने को कहा गया.
जेल परिसर की साफ-सफाई को प्राथमिकता देने तथा सुरक्षा मानकों का कड़ाई से पालन सुनिश्चित करने का भी निर्देश दिया गया.
पुलिस बल को सतर्कता एवं संवेदनशीलता बनाये रखने के निर्देश दिये गये
मिशन शक्ति फेस-5 मुजफ्फरनगर जेल निरीक्षण के दौरान जेल में तैनात पुलिस बल को भी अनुशासन, सतर्कता एवं संवेदनशीलता के साथ अपनी ड्यूटी करने के निर्देश दिये गये। अधिकारियों ने कहा कि जेल की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में किसी भी तरह की कोताही स्वीकार नहीं की जायेगी.

This tree was recently given this name by experts because although some trees are alive, they are unable to reproduce naturally.Research conducted by the University of Queensland found that repeated infections left trees ‘alive but unable to reproduce’, making it impossible for trees to develop the new growth needed to reproduce.For this reason, the species is considered functionally extinct despite the presence of some trees. Botanist Professor Rod Fensham described the trees, saying that, without any intervention, the trees are ‘living dead’.

The main threat to zombie trees is a fungal disease called myrtle rust. This disease is caused by a fungus called Austropoucinia picidi. The disease targets the myrtle family of plants, which includes many indigenous Australian species such as eucalyptus and tea tree.Myrtle rust disease can spread rapidly through fungal spores, which can be spread by wind, insects, animals, and even humans. अल्मोड़ा के मौलेखाल कॉर्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व से सटे मोहान रेंज के ताड़म (बेलम) गांव के एक बुजुर्ग को बाघ ने मार डाला। बुजुर्ग जंगल में लकड़ी बीनने गए थे। सूचना मिलते ही वन विभाग की टीम ट्रैंकुलाइजिंग गन, पिंजरा, ड्रोन आदि उपकरणों के साथ मौके पर पहुंची और क्षत-विक्षत शव को कब्जे में ले लिया। शव का पंचनामा कर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया है.
ताड़म (बेलम) गांव के खीम सिंह (60) रोजाना लकड़ी, घास आदि इकट्ठा करने के लिए जंगल जाते थे। हर दिन की तरह मंगलवार को भी वह सुबह करीब सात बजे लकड़ी इकट्ठा करने के लिए घर से जंगल के लिए निकले, लेकिन घर नहीं लौटे। ग्रामीणों ने बताया कि बुजुर्ग रोजाना रात 10 बजे तक घर लौट आते थे लेकिन जब वह 11 बजे तक भी नहीं लौटे तो उनकी पत्नी मुन्नी देवी की चिंता बढ़ गई. पत्नी ने ग्रामीणों के साथ मिलकर खोजबीन शुरू की। घर से कुछ ही दूरी पर एक ग्रामीण को कुछ खून के धब्बे दिखे तो किसी अनहोनी की आशंका गहराते ही खीम सिंह की गहनता से तलाश शुरू की गई। घर से करीब एक किलोमीटर दूर घने जंगल में खीम सिंह का क्षत-विक्षत शव मिला। घटनास्थल पर लोगों को शव का केवल सिर और पैर ही मिले, बाकी शरीर को बाघ ने बुरी तरह से खाकर क्षत-विक्षत हालत में छोड़ दिया था।
ग्रामीणों ने तुरंत वन विभाग को सूचना दी. सूचना मिलते ही मोहान रेंज के रेंजर गंगा शरण अपनी टीम के साथ मौके के लिए रवाना हो गए। उधर, सूचना मिलते ही जिला प्रशासन से एसडीएम रिंकू बिष्ट और तहसीलदार आबिद अली भी टीम के साथ रवाना हो गए। वन विभाग ने शव को अपने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है. मृतक का बड़ा बेटा गिरीश चंद्र सिंह और छोटा बेटा रमेश चंद्र सिंह है. दोनों बाहर प्राइवेट नौकरी करते हैं। घर में पत्नी और बहू समेत कुल तीन लोग रहते हैं।
ताड़म और उसके आसपास बाघ का खौफ है
कॉर्बेट टाइगर रिजर्व से सटा होने के कारण ताड़म गांव और उसके आसपास हमेशा बाघ का आतंक रहता है. ग्रामीणों ने कई बार वन विभाग को भी इसकी सूचना दी थी. इससे पहले भी करीब तीन माह पहले दिसंबर माह में तल्ला सल्ट के तड़ाम गांव से करीब 20 किमी दूर खोल्यो क्यारी गांव में एक बुजुर्ग महिला को बाघिन ने खा लिया था, जिसे रामनगर क्षेत्र के भलोन में रेस्क्यू किया गया था। ग्रामीणों के मुताबिक ताड़म इलाके के आसपास हमेशा बाघ का आतंक रहता है. जिसकी सूचना कई बार वन विभाग को दी जा चुकी है।
शव को रेस्क्यू कर पोस्टमॉर्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया है. पिंजरा लगाने की कार्रवाई की जा रही है। साथ ही वनकर्मियों की एक टीम गश्त कर रही है और हमलावर को बचाने की कोशिश कर रही है. ग्रामीणों को अकेले जंगल में न जाने तथा अंधेरे में घर से बाहर न निकलने तथा सतर्क रहने की सलाह दी गई है।-गंगा शरण, वन क्षेत्राधिकारी मोहान रेंज
