Union Home Minister Amit Shah but intensified its attack on Monday All India Trinamool CongressClaiming that voters in West Bengal will “answer bombs and bullets with votes” and bring Bharatiya Janata Party To gain power in the assembly elections.Addressing a rally in Birbhum district, Shah said, “TMC goons will no longer be able to terrorize the people of Bengal with their bomb blasts. The people of Bengal will answer bombs with ballots and fear with faith.”Addressing back-to-back rallies at Mayureshwar and Khairasol in Birbhum district, Shah said the “writing is on the wall” indicating that people have decided to say “ta ta bye bye” to the chief minister. Mamata Banerjee.Stepping up his rhetoric, he said, “People should say goodbye to the Mamata government. The BJP will then work to straighten out the syndicates and cut-money promoters by hanging them upside down,” he said, alleging corruption and “mafia raj” under the TMC rule.He also issued a warning ahead of voting, saying, “I advise TMC goons to stay in their homes on April 23… otherwise we will pick them up one by one on May 4 and put them in jail,” he said, claiming that BJP workers have faced violence for a long time under the current regime.Shah accused the state government of failing to stop infiltration and promised strict action, including driving out illegal immigrants and completing border fencing with Bangladesh within 45 days of government formation. He also reiterated BJP’s plan to implement Uniform Civil Code in the state.Taking aim at the ruling party over governance, Shah alleged rampant corruption across all sectors, including recruitment scams, ration distribution irregularities and misuse of welfare funds, and said those responsible would be forced to “return every penny”.She also criticized Banerjee over women’s safety and promised to improve law and order and said the BJP government would ensure a safe environment for women across the state.Highlighting the welfare promises, Shah said the BJP government will implement measures including faster delivery of central schemes under a “double-engine” administration, as well as financial support for women and youth, better benefits for farmers and comprehensive health care coverage.Voting in West Bengal will be held in two phases on April 23 and April 29, while counting of votes will take place on May 4.
