Bengaluru: A 17-year-old second-year Pre-University Course (PUC) student was found dead at her home in Bengaluru, hours after her exam results were declared, police said on Friday.The student, identified as Tanushree, was a science stream aspirant and had reportedly failed in three subjects, leading to suspicions that she took the extreme step.The incident occurred around 3:30 pm on Thursday.According to the police, when there was no one at home, he committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan. His mother had gone to work.No suicide note was found at the spot. However, his hall ticket was recovered from the bed.During initial questioning, the police learned that she had earlier talked to her friends about her results and seemed upset over failing. When he later stopped responding to calls and messages, his friends became worried and went to check on him.Following his mother’s complaint, Hebbal police registered a case of unnatural death. Police said preliminary investigation suggests it is a case of suicide.
