Over 20,000 people gathered at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse on Friday night for Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma’s Sitar for Mental Health concert. The performance was interspersed with sitar renditions of popular songs and spiritual compositions, with the audience largely listening in attentive silence.

Bollywood celebs in the showThe large-scale production included pyrotechnics, confetti, and immersive lighting, which added a visual layer without taking the focus away from the music.
Rishabh’s setlist included a mix of ragas, original pieces like Shankar, Shiv Kailash, Burning Ghat and Roslin, as well as sitar interpretations of tracks like Harry Potter x Game of Thrones, Kal Ho Na Ho, Zara Zara and Tumhi Dekho Na. He also presented his Himachali folk single Belua. The concert concluded with his thoughts on Chanakya, Kautilya and Tandavam, Shiva Tandava Stotram.Rishabh revealed led sitarA highlight of the evening was the unveiling of ‘Sitara – The Next-Generation Electric Sitar’, the LED sitar developed by Rishabh in collaboration with his father, master luthier Sanjay Sharma.Rishabh’s look for the concert included UV mehendi art by artist Shantanu Hazarika and an outfit inspired by Michael Jackson’s military jacket look.
