Hockey World Cup 2026: India vs Pakistan on August 19, FIH reveals full schedule
India and Pakistan are set to clash in one of the most anticipated matches of the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 on August 19. The International Hockey Federation unveiled the full schedule on Wednesday as the tournament takes place in Belgium and the Netherlands from August 15 to 30.
Both the Indian men’s and women’s teams, competing in their respective categories in Pool D, will play their matches in the Netherlands.

The India men’s team will begin their campaign against Wales on August 15, followed by a crucial clash with England on August 17. The high-profile India vs Pakistan pool-stage match is scheduled for August 19, and all three matches will be held at the Wagner Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen.
Meanwhile, the Indian women’s team will open against China on August 16, take on South Africa on August 18 and conclude the pool stage with England on August 20 at the Wagner Stadium.
The knockout round promises to be a tough competition. The men’s semi-finals will be held on August 28 and the final on August 30 in Wavre. The women’s semi-finals are scheduled for August 27, followed by the final in Amsterdam on August 29, which is sure to be a thrilling contest.
Germany, the defending men’s champions who secured their third World Cup title in Bhubaneswar in 2023 with a win over Belgium, will compete in Pool B along with Belgium, France and Malaysia.
