The filmmaker shared an anecdote about Sunny Leone, revealing that she once tried to provoke him into criticizing a producer with whom he allegedly had a bad experience.“I remember once when I was talking to Sunny Leone, I heard that she had a bad experience with a certain producer. So I tried to provoke him into saying something strange about that producer,” he said.However, Sunny chose to respond with restraint. “She just said, ‘I have to say it was not a pleasant experience.’ I have never heard a more respectful answer,” Verma said.Verma emphasized that he does not believe in judging people on the basis of their life choices or profession.“I’m against being judgmental about what kind of lifestyle someone wants,” he said, adding that people often have preconceived notions about adult film actors that don’t necessarily reflect reality.
Opened up about working with Mia Malkova
Sharing his experience of working with Mia Malkova, Varma described her as someone who completely rejects the common stereotypes associated with the industry.He said, “When I was working with Mia Malkova, I have never seen a more disciplined person than her. She sleeps at 9 pm, doesn’t drink, doesn’t smoke, doesn’t do drugs and reads books all the time.”He explained that this lifestyle is “the exact opposite” of many people’s perception of adult film stars, who are often perceived as binge drinkers.
‘It requires a different kind of mental strength’
Verma also talked about the difference between prostitution and performing in adult films and suggested that the latter requires a unique level of mental flexibility.“A prostitute is still doing something in the dark – no one knows her. But doing it openly in front of a camera for the world to see requires a very different kind of brain strength,” he explained.
On dedicating his book to zucchini black
The filmmaker also explained why he mentioned his book Guns & Thighs and dedicated it to adult film star Tori Black.“At that time, she was one of the top names and was on my mind. That’s the reason,” he said, adding that the book was written a decade ago.
