In an open letter supported by 204 signatories, they said, “Rahul Gandhi, along with several MPs, was seen sitting on the steps of Parliament eating tea and biscuits in a manner that was completely unbecoming of members of the country’s highest legislative body. The steps of Parliament are not a place for pageantry or political theatre.”He alleged that Rahul’s action inside the Parliament complex was a deliberate defiance of the seat and showed disregard for parliamentary authority. “It shows arrogance and an attitude of entitlement,” he said.He said Speaker Om Birla had issued a clear directive against demonstrations or protests within the Parliament complex, but the opposition led by Rahul disregarded the directive.“Rahul should apologize to the nation for this behavior and introspect the attitude that led to this, so that the seriousness, authority and institutional sanctity of Parliament is maintained,” he said.
