Bengaluru: A 17-year-old second-year Pre-University Course (PUC) student was found dead at her home in Bengaluru, hours after her exam results were declared, police said on Friday.The student, identified as Tanushree, was a science stream aspirant and had reportedly failed in three subjects, leading to suspicions that she took the extreme step.The incident occurred around 3:30 pm on Thursday.According to the police, when there was no one at home, he committed suicide by hanging himself from the fan. His mother had gone to work.No suicide note was found at the spot. However, his hall ticket was recovered from the bed.During initial questioning, the police learned that she had earlier talked to her friends about her results and seemed upset over failing. When he later stopped responding to calls and messages, his friends became worried and went to check on him.Following his mother’s complaint, Hebbal police registered a case of unnatural death. Police said preliminary investigation suggests it is a case of suicide.
उत्तर प्रदेश अंतिम मतदाता सूची 2026: उत्तर प्रदेश में आज शुक्रवार को अंतिम मतदाता सूची जारी की जाएगी. मुख्य निर्वाचन अधिकारी नवदीप रिणवा दोपहर में आधिकारिक तौर पर यह सूची जारी करेंगे. इस सूची के बाद राज्य में कुल मतदाताओं की संख्या करीब 13.35 करोड़ होने की संभावना है. हालांकि फाइनल लिस्ट जारी होने से पहले ही इस पर सियासत तेज हो गई है. समाजवादी पार्टी ने चुनाव आयोग पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा है कि मतदाताओं के नाम हटाने और फर्जी नाम जोड़ने की साजिश रची जा रही है. उम्मीद है कि इस सूची से करीब 7 लाख नाम हटाए जाएंगे और करीब 80 लाख नए नाम जोड़े जाएंगे.
एसपी ने लगाया बड़ा आरोप
अंतिम मतदाता सूची जारी होने से पहले समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) ने चुनाव आयोग पर गंभीर आरोप लगाए हैं. पार्टी ने सोशल मीडिया पर कहा कि आयोग बीजेपी के साथ मिलकर काम कर रहा है और पीडीए वोट काटने और फर्जी वोट जोड़ने की साजिश हो रही है. एसपी ने अपने कार्यकर्ताओं को सतर्क रहने और साक्ष्य जुटाने का निर्देश दिया है, ताकि इन मामलों को जनता और अदालत के सामने रखा जा सके. पार्टी का दावा है कि यह प्रक्रिया निष्पक्ष नहीं है.
वोटर लिस्ट के बड़े आंकड़े
सूत्रों के मुताबिक, अंतिम सूची में कुल 13.35 करोड़ मतदाता पंजीकृत होंगे. 6 जनवरी को जारी ड्राफ्ट में 12.55 करोड़ मतदाता थे, जिनमें 6.88 करोड़ पुरुष और 5.67 करोड़ महिलाएं शामिल थीं. अब करीब 80 लाख नए नाम जुड़ेंगे, जबकि करीब 7 लाख नाम हटाए जाएंगे. यह अंतिम आंकड़ा फॉर्म-6 और फॉर्म-7 के तहत प्राप्त आवेदनों की जांच के बाद तैयार किया गया है.
नाम जोड़ने और हटाने की प्रक्रिया
चुनाव आयोग को फॉर्म-6 के तहत 86.69 लाख आवेदन मिले थे, जिनमें 43.06 लाख पुरुष और 43.62 लाख महिलाएं थीं. फॉर्म-7 के तहत 3.18 लाख लोगों ने नाम हटाने की मांग की. आयोग ने 1.04 करोड़ मतदाताओं को नोटिस भेजा था जिनके दस्तावेजों में मिलान में दिक्कत थी. इसके अलावा 2.22 करोड़ मामलों में तकनीकी या तार्किक विसंगतियां पाई गईं, जिनकी जांच के बाद ही अंतिम सूची तैयार की गई.
पश्चिमी यूपी में ज्यादा बदलाव की संभावना
जानकारी के मुताबिक पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश में नाम कटने की संख्या अधिक होने की संभावना है. अंतिम सूची में पुरुष मतदाताओं की संख्या महिलाओं से थोड़ी अधिक होने की उम्मीद है. ड्राफ्ट सूची में भी दोनों के बीच कोई बड़ा अंतर नहीं था. आयोग ने सभी आवेदनों और आपत्तियों की गहन जांच के बाद अंतिम सूची तैयार की है।
ड्राफ्ट से अंतिम सूची तक की प्रक्रिया
मतदाता सूची का ड्राफ्ट 6 जनवरी को जारी किया गया था, जिसके बाद 6 मार्च तक दावे और आपत्तियां ली गईं. इस दौरान लाखों लोगों ने नए नाम जोड़ने और हटाने के लिए आवेदन किया. सभी दस्तावेजों और प्रपत्रों की जांच के बाद आयोग ने अंतिम सूची तैयार कर ली है, जो आज आधिकारिक तौर पर जारी की जाएगी।

New Delhi: Amid the cash recovery controversy and the impeachment process, Justice Yashwant Verma submitted his resignation to the President on Friday.This comes after the controversy over the alleged discovery of unaccounted cash and the impeachment proceedings initiated against him in Parliament, ANI reported. After the allegations came to light, Justice Verma of Allahabad High Court was transferred from Delhi High Court. He was sworn in on April 5 last year and was later placed under a Supreme Court-led in-house investigation, which recommended further action.In his letter to the President dated April 9, Justice Verma said he did not want to burden the ‘honourable office’ of the President for reasons that “compel” him to resign. “With deep sorrow, I am tendering my resignation as judge of the Allahabad High Court with immediate effect,” he said in the letter.
The case centers on allegations that unaccounted cash was recovered after a fire broke out in a store room of Justice Verma’s official residence on March 14.Fire tenders found sufficient amount of cash in the premises to control the fire. The judge was not present at the residence at that time.Following this incident, the Supreme Court initiated an in-house investigation, the findings of which led to impeachment proceedings in Parliament.The Speaker of the Lok Sabha accepted the resolution signed by 146 MPs and constituted a three-member committee to investigate the allegations. The panel included Justice Amit Kumar, Justice Maninder Mohan Srivastava and Bibi Acharya.During the last hearing, the Supreme Court had questioned why Justice Verma did not initially challenge the in-house investigation process and later participate in it before raising objections.Justice Verma had argued that the proceedings were unconstitutional and challenged both the findings of the investigation and the recommendation to initiate impeachment by the then Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna.

मंगेतर के सामने हुई घटना, विरोध करने पर किया अपहरण
यह पूरा मामला मुंडेरवा थाना क्षेत्र के कुरियार गांव का है. जानकारी के मुताबिक पीड़िता लालगंज थाना क्षेत्र की रहने वाली है और कुछ ही दिनों में उसकी शादी होने वाली थी. बुधवार शाम वह अपने मंगेतर के साथ शादी की खरीदारी के लिए मुंडेरवा बाजार गई थी। लौटते समय चौराहे पर कुछ युवकों ने उन्हें घेर लिया और किशोरी से छेड़छाड़ करने लगे। मंगेतर ने विरोध किया तो आरोपी ने उसे धमकाया और लड़की को जबरन उठा ले गया। इसके बाद वे उसे गांव के पास एक सुनसान जगह पर ले गए और बारी-बारी से उसके साथ सामूहिक बलात्कार किया.
चीख-पुकार सुनकर लोग पहुंचे तो पुलिस में हड़कंप मच गया
लड़की की चीख सुनकर आसपास के लोग मौके पर पहुंचे, लेकिन तब तक आरोपी भाग चुका था। लोगों ने तुरंत पुलिस को सूचना दी. घटना की खबर मिलते ही पुलिस प्रशासन में हड़कंप मच गया. पुलिस अधीक्षक यशवीर सिंह भारी पुलिस बल के साथ मौके पर पहुंचे और घटनास्थल का निरीक्षण किया. मामले की गंभीरता को देखते हुए तुरंत कई टीमें गठित की गईं.
चार आरोपी गिरफ्तार, एक की तलाश जारी
पुलिस ने त्वरित कार्रवाई करते हुए पांच में से चार आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया. पांचवां आरोपी अभी भी फरार है और उसकी तलाश की जा रही है. एडिशनल एसपी श्यामाकांत ने बताया कि पीड़िता की शिकायत के आधार पर तत्काल मामला दर्ज कर लिया गया है और उसका मेडिकल परीक्षण कराया गया है. उन्होंने कहा कि बाकी आरोपियों को भी जल्द गिरफ्तार कर मामले में कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी.

New Delhi: The Telangana High Court on Friday granted one week’s transit anticipatory bail to Congress leader Pawan Khera in a case registered by Assam Police on charges of defamation, forgery and criminal conspiracy.The court directed that Khera be granted protection for seven days so that he can approach the appropriate court having jurisdiction and file a regular anticipatory bail petition. After hearing the case, Justice K Sujana passed this order.“The petitioner (Khera) is granted one week’s time to file the application before the concerned court,” the high court said in its order, Bar and Bench reported. The case against Khera was registered in Assam following his public remarks in which he alleged that Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, wife of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, had multiple foreign passports and undeclared assets abroad. The complaint leveled allegations under several provisions including defamation, forgery, cheating, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy.Assam Police reportedly went to Khera’s residence in Delhi on April 7, but he was not present at that time. He later approached the concerned court in Assam and moved the Telangana High Court seeking transit anticipatory bail to prevent his arrest.Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, appearing for Kheda, argued that the case reflected political vendetta and excessive use of criminal provisions. He raised questions on the FIR, saying that despite a complaint arising from a press conference, several offenses have been added.On the other hand, Assam Advocate General Devjit Saikia questioned why Khera approached the Telangana High Court despite living in Delhi and the case being registered in Assam.He said there was no indication that Kheda faced any threat in Assam and the state was not a ‘banana republic’.Saika said, “There is no indication that he cannot come to Assam. Assam is not a banana republic. There is no threat to his life.” The legal dispute came to light when Kheda approached the court claiming that he was not provided a copy of the FIR and the allegations were not a valid criminal case. He also argued that the allegations were politically motivated.
