What can be a bigger feeling than making 140 crore Indians proud,” Gambhir said.Gambhir said that throughout the tournament he repeatedly reminded the players that it is a privilege to be in the national dressing room.He said, “I have always believed and I have always told the boys too that being in that dressing room is a privilege, not a right. Thousands of people would like to be in my position as the head coach of the Indian team and many would like to be in the position that the players are in.”

He attributed India’s success in the shortest format to a fearless, high-impact approach.“From day one I strongly believed that the T20 format was going to make an impact. It’s not about milestones or individual performance.
