He stressed that it was necessary to remove TMC to build a “developed Bengal”.He accused the ruling party of harming both the private sector and public recruitment processes and claimed that jobs are either not being created or are allegedly being sold for money.“Investment comes not in an atmosphere of fear but in an atmosphere of trust that the BJP will bring to Bengal,” he said.The Prime Minister also criticized “religion-based reservation”, alleging that it was aimed at strengthening the vote bank.Pointing to the crowd that turned out for the rally despite bad weather, PM Modi said that it shows the desire for change in the state.Referring to Nandigram, where Adhikari had defeated Banerjee in the 2021 assembly elections, he expressed confidence that this time a similar result will be seen in Bhabanipur, where the two leaders will face each other again.Claiming a “double engine” government, PM Modi said West Bengal will benefit more when the Center and the state work in coordination.He also highlighted the Centre’s focus on the fisheries sector, promising to make the state self-reliant in seafood production, pointing to the creation of a dedicated ministry and increased budgetary support for fishermen.
