New Delhi: Referring to the ‘Yuge Yugeen Bharat Museum’ which will be located in the prestigious North and South Block, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi The transformation of what was once the center of power into a center of culture was highlighted.The PM made these comments on Thursday during his interaction with Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts Chairman Ram Bahadur Rai and Member Secretary Dr Sachchidanand Joshi along with other trustees, according to a statement from the Culture Ministry, who met the PM ahead of the institution’s 39th Foundation Day celebrations.TOI had reported in January that the first gallery of the Yuge Yuge Bharat Museum – touted as the world’s largest museum – is scheduled to open in the North Block later this year. It is expected that the museum will be completed with all its galleries in three years.In a post on X on Thursday evening, the PM said they “discussed various aspects related to further popularizing India’s diverse culture.”“We also explored ways to bring more people on this journey, strengthen reach through digital and grassroots initiatives, and support artists and scholars in preserving and promoting our rich heritage,” the PM said.“While talking to us about the several initiatives taken by the government to create greater awareness about culture, the Prime Minister gave the example of the Yuge-Yuge India Museum project. He shared that it shows the importance of the government on culture because earlier the North and South blocks symbolized the seat of power, but now this has changed, as the purpose of continuity of civilization has been to create a museum where future generations will be able to come and learn about the culture of India,” Joshi said. Told TOI.He also said that the PM stressed the need to create awareness about history and heritage across the country and connect with the youth in urban and rural India.“The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of understanding India through a sense of ‘self’,” the Culture Ministry said in a statement.
