New Delhi: Congress leader Pawan Kheda asked many questions to the Chief Minister of Assam. Himanta Biswa Sarma and his wife Riniki Bhuiyan Sharma sought clarity on the disclosures made in the official affidavits.Kheda also said that he would present more evidence in the coming days as the controversy has intensified ahead of the state assembly elections.Speaking to reporters, he further questioned why the Assam CM hid details of foreign assets allegedly linked to his wife in official disclosures.“Are they denying that they have no assets in Dubai? Are they denying that they have no companies in the US? Are they denying that they have no shell companies anywhere in the world? We will provide more evidence every day. There’s a lot coming. Why has he hidden Dubai properties owned by his wife in his election affidavit?” He said.The remarks come amid a political controversy that has turned into a war of words, with Himanta announcing legal action against the Congress leader.

Sarma rejects allegations, announces defamation case

Reacting to the allegations, Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday dismissed all the allegations as ‘malicious’ and ‘politically motivated’ and said both he and his wife would initiate legal proceedings.In a post on Twitter, he wrote: “I categorically reject every allegation made by him. These are malicious, fabricated and politically motivated lies aimed at misleading the people of Assam.”He further said, “I and my wife will be filing both criminal and civil defamation cases against Mr. Pawan Kheda within the next 48 hours. He will be held fully accountable for his reckless and defamatory statements.”Expressing confidence in the legal process, Sarma said, “I have full faith in the judiciary. Once the truth is established in the court, Mr. Pawan Kheda will have to face the consequences of his actions, and the law will take its due course.

Kheda’s allegations and demand for investigation

During his press conference, Khera made several allegations, including claims related to foreign properties, shell companies and passport holdings linked to the CM’s family.He asked, “Why does Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife need to have 3 passports? Are you some kind of criminal? Does Himanta himself have more such passports? Is this a preparation to run away after losing the elections?”He also alleged financial ties with shell companies abroad, saying: “Himanta Biswa Sarma has kept his money in shell companies established in Wyoming. Why Wyoming? “Because there is no tax here…it is a famous place where people’s assets are kept hidden.”Demanding a probe, Kheda asked: “When will Amit Shah form an SIT to probe? When will CEC Gyanesh Kumar take cognizance of hiding information in the affidavit?”He further claimed, “Himanta’s wife Rinke Bhuyan Sarma has a company in Wyoming, USA. The member list of this company includes Rinke Bhuyan Sarma, Himanta Biswa Sarma and their sons.”The controversy began when Kheda alleged that Riniki Bhuiyan Sharma held multiple foreign passports and had business and property links abroad, including Dubai and the United States.However, Sarma rejected the claims and pointed to ‘serious inconsistencies’ in the documents cited by Kheda, which suggest possible fabrication or manipulation. He said the allegations are part of a politically motivated campaign ahead of the Assam Assembly elections.

उत्तर प्रदेश समाचार: उत्तर प्रदेश माध्यमिक शिक्षा परिषद (यूपी बोर्ड) की हाईस्कूल और इंटरमीडिएट की उत्तर पुस्तिकाओं का मूल्यांकन तेजी से चल रहा है। लेकिन इस बार शिक्षकों को नोटबुक में पढ़ाई से ज्यादा भावनात्मक अपील और अजीब फरमाइशें मिल रही हैं। खासकर फिजिक्स जैसे कठिन विषय की कॉपियों में छात्रों ने ऐसे संदेश लिखे हैं जिन्हें पढ़कर परीक्षक भी हैरान रह गए हैं. कई छात्र अपनी परिस्थितियां बताकर पास करने की मांग कर रहे हैं.

शादी का हवाला देकर पास करने की अपील की
मूल्यांकन केंद्रों से मिली जानकारी के अनुसार इंटरमीडिएट के एक छात्र ने अपनी कॉपी में लिखा कि उसकी शादी तय हो गयी है. उसने बताया कि उसकी तैयारी अच्छी नहीं थी और अगर वह फेल हो गया तो समाज में उसकी बेइज्जती होगी और तिलक भी कम लगेगा. उन्होंने शिक्षक से पास करने की अपील की है. वहीं, एक छात्रा ने लिखा कि वह चार बहनों में तीसरे नंबर की है और उसकी शादी 13 मई को है. घर में शादी की तैयारियों के चलते वह पढ़ाई नहीं कर सकीं। उसने लिखा कि अगर वह फेल हो गई तो उसकी शादी टूट सकती है और परिवार की आर्थिक स्थिति भी कमजोर है, इसलिए वह पैसे भी नहीं दे सकती.

पैसे न रख पाने की वजह बताई गई
इस बार कॉपियों में पैसे मिलने के मामले जरूर कम हुए हैं, लेकिन छात्रों ने अपनी कॉपियों में इसकी वजह भी लिखी है। एक छात्र ने बताया कि उसके पिता बीमार थे, जिसके कारण वह पढ़ाई नहीं कर सका. उन्होंने लिखा कि वह 2000 रुपये रखना चाहते थे, लेकिन कक्षा में कड़ी निगरानी और सीसीटीवी के कारण ऐसा नहीं कर सके। इसलिए उसने शिक्षक से उसे पास कर देने की विनती की।

सख्ती से करेंसी की समस्या कम हुई
यूपी बोर्ड सचिव भगवती सिंह के सख्त निर्देश का असर इस बार साफ दिख रहा है। बोर्ड ने पहले ही साफ कर दिया था कि किसी भी कॉपी में पैसे पाए जाने पर छात्र के साथ-साथ कक्ष निरीक्षक पर भी कार्रवाई होगी. इसी वजह से इस बार कॉपियों में कैश मिलने के मामले काफी कम हो गए हैं. शिक्षकों का कहना है कि अब सही उत्तरों के आधार पर ही अंक दिए जा रहे हैं।

मूल्यांकन कार्य तेजी से चल रहा है
यूपी बोर्ड की ओर से जारी आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, इस बार कुल करीब 2.60 करोड़ कॉपियां जांची जानी हैं. 23 मार्च की शाम तक 32,53,505 कॉपियां जांची जा चुकी हैं, जिसमें हाईस्कूल की 19,62,275 और इंटरमीडिएट की 12,91,248 कॉपियां शामिल हैं. राज्य भर के मूल्यांकन केंद्रों पर शिक्षक दिन-रात सीसीटीवी की निगरानी में काम कर रहे हैं, ताकि परीक्षा परिणाम समय पर घोषित किए जा सकें.

Make no mistake: You will achieve nothing through war crimes. The only real solution is to respect the rights of the Iranian people and end this dangerous game.”

Trump’s ultimatum strait of hormuz

Ghalibaf’s statement came after Trump issued a stern warning to Iran, demanding that it reopen the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, a major global oil shipping route, and threatening serious military action if Tehran failed to comply.In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day in Iran, all wrapped into one. There is no peace in the world. This is obvious to anyone who owns a phone. But here’s what I find less obvious and more worrying: The uneasiness isn’t just in the news. It’s sitting on the kitchen tables. A friend of mine, a bright woman, ran a funded startup that almost shut down the whole thing during a cash crunch last year. Not because the numbers were lethal. Because she could no longer separate the P&L from her sense of self. One of my guru students appeared for his 12th boards and told me that he wants to leave everything. The scores were bad, yes. But the scars did not destroy him. The story he himself told about those marks proved to be true.Five thousand years ago, a warrior named Arjuna had the same problem on a larger scale. Two armies. On the other hand his own family. When he saw what the coming price would be, he dropped his bow and told Krishna that his work was done. Krishna did not give him any motivational speech. He gave him Bhagavad Gita. Seven hundred verses. And the first thing he said was don’t avoid the fight. Learned to see clearly inside it.Crisis is not a problem. There is confusion.I believe this is the real success of Gita, and what most people miss. We believe that crisis causes suffering. Jobs were lost, markets collapsed, relationships broke. Geeta says no. It is our confusion that causes harm during a crisis. Arjun had no trouble because of the war. He was in pain because attachment to results had clouded his ability to see what he should have done. Chapter 2, Verse 47. Do your work with full commitment. Don’t stick to the outcome. This is consistently misquoted as “don’t care about the consequences.” This is a bad read. What Krishna really means is this: Don’t let your focus on any one specific outcome destroy your ability to see what’s really happening in front of you. This seems quite easy to say. It is extremely difficult to practice. And in my experience, it’s the only thing that really restores clarity when your world is falling apart.Geeta is not anti-struggle. This is anti-illusion.There is a common misconception that Gita is a text of peace. It is not. It was introduced on the battlefield and at the end was the instruction to fight. What the Gita opposes is not struggle but internal chaos which makes struggle senseless. Fear, ego, attachment. Not being able to work stable somewhere inside yourself. Look at what is happening around us. Russia and Ukraine, fourth year, no final game in sight. America and Iran in open confrontation. China and Taiwan are on a slow boil. Tariff wars that hurt the people they were supposed to protect keep going because rolling back them seems weak. There is one word in Geeta which governs all this. Detachment. Attachment. Chapter 2, verses 62 and 63 explain the chain: Attachment creates desire, desire creates anger, anger creates confusion, confusion destroys reason. Pick any small dispute that turned into an actual war and that series exists somewhere.From personal wars to global warsWhat strikes me about Geeta is its scale. The same education that helps a 23-year-old in Pune cope with layoffs also explains why nations dig themselves into foreign policy holes they can’t get out of. Same root. Wanting things to go a certain way so badly that you lose the ability to deal with them for how they really are. Chapter 3, Verse 35: It is better to do one’s duty badly than to do someone else’s duty well. Krishna asks Arjun to fight because it is his dharma. No ambition, no revenge. responsibility. When a country abandons its principles to copy someone else’s playbook, it falls apart. Today geopolitics is almost entirely based on give and take. What can you achieve, what can you benefit from. The Gita says something different: What matters is the quality of what you do, no matter what you get from it. That is not philosophy. This is the real record of seventy years of coalition politics.the inside determines the outsideChapter 6, Verse 5: You are your own friend and your own enemy. Countries with internal chaos invite horror externally. Leaders who rule by fear do not solve crises. They start something new to distract from the old. Krishna spent eighteen chapters exploring what was going on inside Arjuna’s head before he let Arjuna pick up the bow. Clarity first. Action second. We keep doing it in a different way.clarity is the real victoryI keep meeting people who picked up Geeta during difficult times and told me that it changed the way they handled it. Not in any mysterious way. Very practically, I can think straight again. A founder navigating a down period. A couple is on the verge of separation. A bureaucrat is caught between two bad policy choices. None of them were looking for religion. They were looking for clarity. Geeta gave it to him. Geeta does not promise that you will win. It promises that you will see clearly. And right now, when the real damage comes not from the conflicts themselves but from the panic and bad decisions they generate, that clarity is more valuable than any strategy paper ever written. Arjun did not win because his fear went away. He won because he stopped letting it run. Five thousand years later, wars look different. The confusion is exactly the same.
