Firstly, underlining the “historic and long-standing” relations between the two countries, Rahman said Bangladesh attaches high importance to its relations with India based on shared history, culture and geography. According to Rahman, there are many similarities between the people of India and Bangladesh and there are deep ties between them.Second, as Rehman said, both countries need to address the issues in a way that benefits the common people. He said in the letter that by doing so both the countries can achieve a lot in terms of their common interests. Rahman said Dhaka looked forward to pursuing relations on the basis of dignity, equality, mutual trust and respect and “benefit-sharing”.Third, and addressing Modi more personally, Rehman said in his letter, which was delivered within weeks of his swearing-in, that he is mindful of the Indian Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India 2047. Rahman said leaders “can – and need to – reinvigorate cooperative commitments to secure peace, harmony, stability and prosperity for all people in the long run”. The mention of a developed India is significant as the Indian government turns that vision into a core foreign policy theme with initiatives to strengthen development partnerships with friendly countries in line with India’s strategic interests.

कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि न्यायमूर्ति राजेश सिंह चौहान थे, जिन्होंने फीता काटकर कार्यक्रम का विधिवत उद्घाटन किया। इस दौरान उन्होंने अधिवक्ताओं को बधाई देते हुए कहा कि इस तरह की सुविधाओं से न्यायिक कार्य में और सुधार होगा. कार्यक्रम में विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में जिला जज मलखान सिंह भी मौजूद रहे और उन्होंने भी अपने विचार व्यक्त किये.

इस अवसर पर मुख्य न्यायिक दंडाधिकारी हरिकेश पांडे सहित कई वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ता एवं न्यायिक पदाधिकारी उपस्थित थे. इसके अलावा सेंट्रल बार एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष, महासचिव और उनकी पूरी कार्यकारिणी भी कार्यक्रम में शामिल हुई. सभी ने इस पहल की सराहना की और इसे अधिवक्ताओं के लिए महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया.
अधिवक्ताओं को बेहतर कामकाजी माहौल मिलेगा
अधिवक्ताओं की दक्षता बढ़ाने के लिए नवनिर्मित विवेकानन्द हॉल एवं 48 चैम्बर्स का निर्माण कराया गया है। इससे वकीलों को व्यवस्थित तरीके से बैठने, चर्चा करने और अपना काम करने में सुविधा होगी। बार एसोसिएशन का मानना है कि इससे न्यायिक कार्य की गति और गुणवत्ता दोनों में सुधार होगा.

New Delhi: To add more strength to its growing naval fleet Indian Navy is set to commission its latest stealth frigate, INS Taragiri, on April 3.“As the fourth powerful platform of the Project 17A class, Taragiri is not just a ship; it is the 6,670-ton embodiment of ‘Make in India“The spirit and sophisticated engineering capabilities of our indigenous shipyards,” the Navy said in a statement.The ceremony, to be presided over by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh in Visakhapatnam, will serve as a testament to the country’s journey towards becoming a fully self-reliant naval power. Built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), INS Taragiri represents a generational leap over earlier designs, offering a sleek form and significantly reduced radar cross-section that allows it to operate with lethal stealth.The warship, delivered by MDL on November 28 last year, replaces the older Leander class ship of the same name, which served from 1980 to 2013. Construction of the ship was completed in 81 months, indicating improved efficiency.The ship’s weapons suite is world-class, including supersonic surface-to-surface missiles, medium-range surface-to-air missiles and a specialized anti-submarine warfare suite. These systems are seamlessly integrated through a state-of-the-art battle management system, ensuring that the crew can respond to threats with moment-to-moment precision.With its indigenous content of over 75%, the ship highlights the maturity of the domestic industrial ecosystem which now comprises over 200 MSMEs, contributing to the self-reliance initiative of the government.Powered by combined diesel or gas propulsion plant, INS Taragiri is designed for ‘high speed – high endurance’ versatility and multi-dimensional maritime operations.Beyond its role as a head hunter, Taragiri has been adapted to the complexities of modern diplomatic and humanitarian crises. टिहरी जिले में 54 प्रतिशत बुनियादी ढांचा उच्च जोखिम से अति उच्च जोखिम क्षेत्र में है। वाडिया हिमालय भूविज्ञान संस्थान के वैज्ञानिकों ने जिले में भूस्खलन के खतरे का आकलन करने के साथ ही भूस्खलन संभावित क्षेत्रों का नक्शा तैयार किया है। इससे भविष्य में आपदा प्रबंधन की योजना बनाने और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था बनाने में मदद मिलेगी।
राज्य में भूस्खलन रोकने के उपायों के साथ-साथ संस्थाएं अध्ययन में भी जुटी हैं। इसके तहत वाडिया इंस्टीट्यूट के डॉ. नवीन चंद और वैज्ञानिकों की टीम ने टिहरी जिले का अध्ययन किया है। पिछले साल जिले में एक-दो नहीं बल्कि छोटी-बड़ी भूस्खलन की 2612 घटनाएं सामने आईं।
वैज्ञानिकों ने भूस्खलन के 15 मुख्य कारणों का अध्ययन किया है जिनमें ढलान, ऊंचाई, मानवीय गतिविधियां, भू-आकृति, भूमि उपयोग, नदियों और सड़कों से दूरी आदि शामिल हैं। फिर इन्हें पांच श्रेणियों में विभाजित किया गया: बहुत कम, निम्न, मध्यम, उच्च जोखिम और बहुत उच्च जोखिम।
फिर एक मॉडल के जरिए टेस्टिंग की गई. इससे पता चलता है कि जिले में 54 प्रतिशत बुनियादी ढांचा (जैसे सड़क, पुल, भवन) और 57 प्रतिशत आबादी उच्च जोखिम से लेकर बहुत उच्च जोखिम वाले क्षेत्रों में स्थित है।

ईदगाह के पास स्थित एक विवादित स्थल की पूरी तरह से बैरिकेडिंग कर दी गई। प्रशासन ने किसी भी व्यक्ति को वहां जाने की इजाजत नहीं दी. किसी भी तरह के विवाद या तनाव को रोकने के लिए यह कदम उठाया गया. सुरक्षा व्यवस्था के चलते कार्यक्रम शांतिपूर्वक संपन्न हो गया.
जन प्रतिनिधियों ने दी भाईचारे की मिसाल
कार्यक्रम के दौरान सांसद नरेश उत्तम ने सभी जिलेवासियों को ईद की बधाई दी और शांति व सौहार्द बनाये रखने की अपील की. नगर पालिका अध्यक्ष राजकुमार मौर्य ने बताया कि ईद को लेकर शहर में साफ-सफाई, पानी, कालीन और टेंट की पूरी व्यवस्था की गई है। उन्होंने कहा कि सभी धर्मों के लोगों को मिलजुल कर त्योहार मनाना चाहिए और भाईचारा बनाए रखना चाहिए.
इमाम ने शांति की दुआ की
ईदगाह के इमाम हबीबुल इस्लाम ने नमाज अदा करायी और देश में अमन-चैन की दुआ करायी. उन्होंने कहा कि पहले की तरह भाईचारा और सद्भाव बहाल किया जाना चाहिए, जहां सभी धर्मों के लोग एक साथ त्योहार मनाते थे। उन्होंने सभी से शांति और एकता बनाए रखने की अपील की.

Indian-origin Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Yash Patel has been arrested in Jurupa Valley, California, on suspicion of off-duty sexual assault and false imprisonment, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced.The arrest earlier this month followed an investigation into the allegations by the Sheriff’s Bureau of Special Investigations.Patel began his employment with the Sheriff’s Department in July 2021 and was most recently assigned to the Robert Presley Detention Center as a corrections deputy, officials said.According to the Sheriff’s Department, Patel was placed on paid administrative leave pending an administrative investigation.The Sheriff’s Department announced, “The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office holds its employees to the highest standards of professionalism and accountability. Allegations of misconduct are taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.”Patel was previously named in a lawsuit filed by family members of inmates who died in the county’s jails in 2022-2023. The lawsuits alleged that Sheriff’s Department employees were not adequately trained to prevent or effectively intervene in medical emergencies and inmate violence. Robert Robinson, 41, died within a day in 2022 at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside. Corrections officers Yash Patel, Joshua Phaneuf and Florin Blaz were named as defendants in the lawsuit.
