Mary referred to Donald Trump’s father, Frederick Christ Trump, who was born in New York City to German immigrant parents. The post came as the Supreme Court heard arguments on birthright citizenship on Wednesday and President Trump was present. This was the President’s first order in his second term since he declared that children born to parents living in the US illegally or temporarily are not US citizens. As the hearing progressed, Stephen Miller, the architect of Trump’s anti-immigrant decisions, made a quick social media post. “Birthright citizenship means that the children of illegal aliens can vote to tax your children and confiscate their inheritance,” he wrote.
