Theatrical response and ETimes review

The film received mixed to overwhelming reviews during its theatrical release.ETimes rated the film only 2 out of 5 stars and our review said, “Director Praveen Saravanan keeps things moving at a reasonable pace, which at least means the film doesn’t overstay its welcome by less than two hours. The script still runs on the same ideas, with no escalation and no real stakes, so the reasonable pace takes you swiftly to the end. The comedy moves in the narrowest possible lane: Is Karthik caught? Will he get caught? Then he doesn’t. Then he almost does it again. That’s the whole movie.”Our exclusive review said, “This is the kind of movie that feels like it started as a weekend project and ended out of obligation rather than conviction. Painless if you’re in the room. By the time you leave it’s over.”
