New Delhi: Former colleague Arvind Kejriwal And now BJP leader Swati Maliwal on Saturday made sharp allegations against her former boss and claimed that before becoming the Chief Minister, he used to wear ‘torn pants’, ‘pen of two rupees’ and ‘travel in a dilapidated car’, but after coming to power in Delhi, he built a house worth Rs 100 crore.“Speaking to news agency ANI, Maliwal compared two different phases of Kejriwal’s life. His comments come a day after the Raghav Chadha-led rebellion against the party leadership and the merger of AAP’s two-thirds power in the Upper House with the BJP.Maliwal was among those who joined the breakaway group.Maliwal launched an unrestrained attack and said, “If anyone is a traitor, it is Arvind Kejriwal.” When he started his movement, he used to wear torn pants, use a two-rupee pen and travel in a completely dilapidated car. We were all inspired, thinking that this man will bring change to the country.”Continuing his criticism, he said, “During the movement, he showed such big, sweet dreams to the entire country and the country was impressed. But what did he do? As soon as he came to power, he built a house worth a hundred crores. He added a bar, installed carpets worth crores and bought a refrigerator worth crores. His sofa is very luxurious. And now, when the people of Delhi defeated him, he has moved to Punjab.”“He also targeted the Chief Minister-led AAP government in Punjab Bhagwant MaanAllegations of misuse of power and resources. “They are using Punjab like an ATM. The man with whom they beat me was given Z-plus security. Today, he has been appointed chief advisor to Bhagwant Mann…the man who spoke against the VIP protocol, when his convoy comes out, we are counting fifty cars, but it goes beyond fifty,” he said.
