New Delhi: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has handed over the additional charge of Director to Dr Nikhil Tandon, Head of the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism and Dean (Academic), after the departure of Dr M Srinivas.Dr. Srinivas has been appointed as a whole time member policy commissionWhich prompted the institute to make interim arrangements for its top post.According to an office memorandum issued on April 27, Dr Tandon will discharge the duties of Director in addition to his existing responsibilities. This arrangement will remain in force for a period of six months or until regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier.It has also been clarified in the order that no additional remuneration will be given for assuming additional charge.
