Bicholim: Bicholim police on Monday arrested Omkar Mamlekar, a 28-year-old man, for alleged rash driving. According to Vijay Rane Sardesai, PI in Bamanvado Nanoda, Mamlekar was allegedly driving at high speed while driving a Thar from Asonora to Karsarpal and lost control of his vehicle when it collided with a bus on Sunday evening, injuring 13 passengers and himself.The injured passengers were Vandan Sawant, Srushti Aroskar, Sadhvi Redkar, Divya Desai, Shreya Desai, Tejasvi Desai, all from Dodamarg, while Surva Ghadi, (Kasarpal), Neelam Zor, Sagi Jangle, Jenny Zor, Sonam Jangle, Shanti Phale were from Maneri, and Sitaram Arondekar were from Hanakhane.The injured were treated at the Community Health Centre, Bicholim.The investigation is ongoing under the leadership of ASI Laxman Ghadi attached to Dodamarg police post.
