Pune: Chakan North police on Sunday arrested two men for attacking a 27-year-old man and robbing him of Rs 6,000 in cash. Robbery The incident took place on Saturday, when the victim was going home on his scooter. Police said the complainant suffered serious injuries on his face.The arrested couple have been identified as Rohan Ghogre (35) and Vivek Kurhade (24) of Chakan. They have been charged under section 309 (robbery) of the Indian Judicial Code (BNS).A Chakan police official said that on Saturday evening, the complainant was going towards home on his moped when the duo stopped him. They beat him with sticks and punched him on the face. “The two looted Rs 6,000 from his wallet and fled,” the officer said.He told that after receiving the complaint, the police team swung into action and caught both of them. “Our investigation is ongoing,” he said.
