The outlet reported that the actor’s wife and two children are “devastated” by the loss.Following news of his passing, Harlem Globetrotter Donte Harrison, also known as “Hammer”, paid tribute to Chapman on Instagram and revealed that the actor had battled health issues for years and was undergoing dialysis treatments. In an Instagram tribute, she wrote, “Life gave my cousin Grizz Chapman some heavy battles, but he fought them with strength and honor to the end. Many people knew him as the sitcom star of 30 Rock, but we knew the man behind the screen. A good heart, good energy and someone who made an impact on this life.”He further added, “After years of battling illness and dialysis, he died peacefully in his sleep on May 22, 2026.
