New Delhi: At least eight people, including seven women, drowned in Thatte Hakkalu river. KarnatakaUttara Kannada on Sunday, according to police sources quoted by news agency PTI. The incident occurred near Bhatkal, following which a massive search and rescue operation was conducted by local authorities and emergency teams.Officials said many people were washed away while bathing in the river.
