New Delhi: On the eve of its much-hyped neet protestThe newly formed online organization Cockroach Janata Party is understood to have approached the Indian Youth Congress for coordination, although the Congress did not respond to the proposal.Sources said a prominent CJP figure met IYC president Uday Bhanu Chib at his office. Although the details of their interactions are not known, IYC sources said that the online party may have felt the need to understand the dynamics of the protest and organizational coordination for the involvement of IYC volunteers – which would also help it gain wider acceptance.When contacted, Chib told TOI that the IYC would not share the stage with any other organisation, adding that it was holding its protest across the country on a “serious” issue and was focused on demanding accountability from the Modi government.Congress strategists view CJP with suspicion, suspecting a political hand behind its sudden emergence, TOI reports. Chib said, “…we welcome any organization that wants to highlight an issue related to the future of our youth. But the possibility of our involvement in any other forum is ruled out.”
