India, US hold 'Army-to-Army Staff Talks' in Hawaii

India and the US held the 29th edition of Army-to-Army Staff Talks in Hawaii to discuss ways to deepen bilateral defense cooperation and strengthen the strategic partnership.The talks were co-chaired by Lieutenant General Rajeev Ghai, Deputy Chief of Army Staff (Strategy) and Lieutenant General Joel Vowell, Deputy Commanding General, US Forces Pacific.Sharing details of the meeting on Saturday, the Army said, “The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral defense cooperation, enhancing interoperability, expanding professional exchanges and deepening military cooperation in support of shared security interests.” Both sides appreciated the expanding scope of military-to-military engagement and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen the India-US strategic partnership.Last week, Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh had a meeting with House Armed Services Committee member Pat Harrigan in Singapore. In a post on X, the Defense Ministry said, “The talks reaffirmed the strength of the India-US defense partnership with exchanges on regional security, expanding defense cooperation, and advancing shared strategic interests in the Indo-Pacific.”
