On hello! Arjun Rampal recalls the experience of 26/11 terrorist attack on Mumbai at Hall of Fame Awards. The actor told that he was at a hotel to pick up his friends. He said that they were going to celebrate his birthday at Taj Hotel. While they were on their way, the actor said the first explosion occurred in Mahim.
He said, “I heard that noise, and the whole glass shook and started rattling, and we were like, ‘What the hell was that?’ Within 10 minutes, our phones started ringing and everyone said that some gang war had broken out in Colaba. Within 20-30 minutes the entire Four Seasons Hotel was surrounded. Adarsh Jatia very kindly gave me a suite and said, ‘You can stay here for the night, but we can’t let anyone out; This is not safe.”He further added, “On my birthday, I witnessed the horrors of 26/11. In the morning, when I returned home, I had to stop at least three times because I felt like I was going to be sick. When Aditya Dhar narrated the 26/11 scene to me, I knew I was going to take my revenge – and that’s what I did with ‘Dhurandhar’. All I want to say is, Bharat Mata Ki Jai.”
