New Delhi: A 28-year-old woman was murdered by her husband by slitting her throat on the middle of the road following a domestic dispute in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district on Thursday. As onlookers captured the crime, several videos of it were shared on social media. The victim was identified as Saanvi, a native of Maharashtra. News agency PTI reported that the incident took place near Ballurgi village in Afzalpur taluk.According to the police, the accused Akshay allegedly brought his wife to the spot in a car, forced her down on the road and attacked her. He died on the spot.Videos of the incident, recorded by bystanders and circulated on social media, reportedly show the man being attacked in public. He was seen pulling her hair and beating her brutally.The accused fled from the spot in the same vehicle.Officials said a case of murder has been registered at Afzalpur police station and an operation has been launched to trace and arrest the accused.
