Joe Rogan isn’t entirely sold on the idea of holding an Ultimate Fighting Championship event at the White House. The promotion is planning a special fight card on June 14 on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C.As part of the United States 250th anniversary celebration. But Rogan believes time and space can create real problems for fighters. Speaking on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, he explained that June weather in Washington can be very hot and humid. According to him, this kind of environment can change the way fighting happens inside the octagon.He said that heat and humidity are not small issues in combat sports. Fighters already deal with weight cuts, pressure and longer rounds. Adding extreme weather into the mix can make things difficult, especially for stamina and recovery during battles. Rogan also questioned how the setup would handle cooling, as the event is expected to be held outdoors with a temporary field.He said candidly, “I’m worried about the Battle of the White House. I’m not just worried about it from a security standpoint. I’m worried about it because it’s outside. It’s June, and it’s in Washington, D.C.. If it’s hot outside, it very well could be. The average humidity was about 67 percent, and on June 14 it was 100 degrees. It’s tough. It’s a big problem.”

Expressing concern, Joe Rogan also shared what he would like to see on that card. He strongly supported Movser Evloev for a featherweight title fight.Ivloev recently improved his record to 20-0 by defeating Leron Murphy in London. Despite losing a point during the fight, he managed to win and extend his undefeated streak in the UFC to ten fights. That performance impressed Rogan.Rogan liked Ivlov’s way of staying on the ground and striking. For him, this saw an increase in his fighting style and proved that he was ready for a bigger challenge. He believes Evloev should now face champion Alexander Volkanovski.“What Avloev said was very impressive,” Rogan said during the UFC London Fight Companion stream. The fact that he was able to stand up to her was very impressive to me. i’m in it [Alexander Volkanovski vs. Evloev]. God, I hope so. I hope they don’t mess with him again. After this? This has to happen, otherwise something terrible will happen to the world.”He also linked the idea to the White House event, saying, “White House lawn, let’s go. Give that guy a few months off. We’re only in March, it’s June. Come on, spice up that card.”The event is still being planned as a large production with limited live attendance and a large public viewing setup nearby. But as excitement grows, Rogan’s concerns about fighter safety and performance have now become part of the conversation.
