“The Embassy of India in Kuwait expresses its condolences on the tragic death of an Indian citizen due to the attack on desalination facility in Kuwait yesterday. The Embassy is coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities to provide all possible assistance and support,” the Indian Embassy in X said, confirming the first Indian death in Kuwait in the conflict.Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said a service building at its electricity and water distillation plant was damaged during the attack, according to the state-run KUNA news agency. Officials described it as a “brutal attack”. The plant which was attacked has not been identified.Ministry spokeswoman Fatima Jawahar Hayat said a worker of Indian nationality died as a result of the strike, Gulf News reported.
