Two firefighters were killed in a head-on crash Monday while searching for a missing woman in Pennsylvania, authorities said.According to the Berks County Coroner, Volunttown Fire Company Fire Chief Jeff Buck and Assistant Fire Chief Robert Schick Jr. were traveling northbound in a utility vehicle along Route 222 around 6 p.m. Saturday when they collided with a southbound Toyota Camry.Local media reported that the utility vehicle was on the shoulder when the Camry left the road and collided with it. Police said a man and a woman in the car fled the scene but were later arrested.The crash occurred about 45 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Both victims were Fleetwood residents, and autopsies are scheduled for Monday.“Our thoughts and prayers are with the families,” the Walnuttown Fire Company said in a Facebook post. “Rest assured chiefs, we’ve got it from here.”Authorities have not released further details about the arrest or the search for the missing woman.
