New Delhi: Rajya Sabha Chairman CP Radhakrishnan on Monday rejected the impeachment motion against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, who is facing heat from the opposition over the all-India special intensive review (SIR) and “conduct” of the recent assembly elections.This was the first time that any notice was given to remove the election body chief, with 130 Lok Sabha MPs and 63 Rajya Sabha members signing the motion.In the 10 page long notice, chargesheet has been written in seven cases.
