His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the recruitment of 330 Emirati nationals into municipalities across the emirate, with the aim of strengthening national workforce participation and improving public services. The initiative covers both university graduates and high school diploma holders and is deployed as part of a broader effort to support Emirati graduates, enhance national competencies and increase the efficiency of municipal operations in several cities. A significant portion of the recruitment is focused on Sharjah City Municipality, where 120 positions have been allocated exclusively for Emiratis holding a High School Certificate to support the field inspection sector. The remaining 210 roles are distributed across municipalities across the emirate, ensuring broad geographical coverage and operational support. Sharjah Municipality will receive 94 of these posts, followed by Khorfakkan with 27 and Kalba with 30. The additional allocation includes 10 jobs in Dibba Al Hisn, 20 in Al Dhaid, 6 in Al Madam, 9 in Mleeha, 9 in Al Bateh and 5 in Al Hamriyah. The recruitment drive aims to strengthen municipal capacity while providing employment opportunities for Emiratis, in line with ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and improve the quality of services delivered to residents across the emirate.
