New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Condoled the demise of the great singer on Sunday Asha BhosleWho died in Mumbai at the age of 92.In a post on Twitter, PM Modi wrote, “Deeply saddened by the demise of Asha Bhosle ji, one of the most iconic and versatile voices India has ever produced. His extraordinary musical journey spanning decades enriched our cultural heritage and touched countless hearts across the world. Be it his soulful tunes or vibrant compositions, his voice had timeless brilliance. I will always remember my conversation with him.”“My condolences to her family, fans and music lovers. She will continue to inspire generations and her songs will always resonate in people’s lives,” he said.Hope Sharing the news of his demise, Bhosale’s son Anand Bhosale said, “He passed away today. Those who wish to have his last darshan can visit his residence tomorrow at 11 am. The last rites will be performed at Shivaji Park tomorrow at 4 pm.”According to the doctors treating India’s most famous singer Asha Bhosle, she died due to multiple organ failure.“He died a few minutes ago due to multi-organ failure,” Dr Pratit Samdani told PTI.Her granddaughter Janai Bhosale said in a post that the singer was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on Saturday evening due to a chest infection and exhaustion.The funeral of the veteran singer will be performed with full state honors at Shivaji Park on Monday.Bhosale, whose career spanned several decades, began his musical journey in 1943 and became one of India’s most famous playback singers, and one of the living giants of the Indian film music industry.
