Two killed when tractor collides with bike. patna news
Patna: Late Saturday evening, a speeding tractor hit two motorcycles in Shyampur market of Uchkagaon police station area of Gopalganj, due to which two people died and one was seriously injured. The injured person was referred to Gorakhpur for treatment. Police are searching for the tractor driver who fled from the spot.The victims were identified as Nasir Alam, 28, and Sujit Kumar Pandey. After post-mortem at Sadar Hospital, their bodies were handed over to their families.According to police, Nasir and another person were riding on a motorcycle, while Sujeet was on the other motorcycle. Near the petrol pump located in Shyampur market, a speeding tractor coming from the opposite direction hit both the bikes. Due to the collision, all three fell on the road, due to which Nasir died on the spot.The team of Dial 112 took the injured to Model Hospital in Gopalganj, where Sujit later died. The third injured was referred due to critical condition.Uchkagaon assistant sub-inspector Ashiq Rasool Khan said, “After the accident, the tractor driver left the tractor and fled from the spot. The tractor has been seized and a raid is being conducted to nab the fleeing driver.”
