New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said the response of party workers in West Bengal indicates growing public support for the Bharatiya Janata Party ahead of the assembly elections.In a posting on“These conversations confirm that the mood in West Bengal is clearly in favor of the BJP,” he said, indicating confidence within the party as the campaign intensifies in the state.Meanwhile, during the rally, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on TMC, accusing the party of corruption, appeasement politics and neglecting North Bengal, and also said that BJP will form the next government in West Bengal.Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, “The ruthless TMC government has completed 15 years in power… you have seen nothing but destruction,” adding that the ongoing elections will shape the future of the state.Stepping up his criticism, he described the ruling party as “anti-North Bengal”, “anti-tribal” and against the interests of women and youth, alleging that it has failed to deliver meaningful development and cannot present a credible report card of its tenure.The Prime Minister also accused the state government of discriminatory budget allocation, claimed that development in North Bengal has been neglected while resources have been diverted elsewhere, and alleged that the TMC was focused on appeasement politics.
