New Delhi: The Supreme Court has said that the over 10 lakh pending execution petitions in district courts, of which eight lakh are more than six months old, is “very appalling and disappointing”. It has asked the High Courts to set up a mechanism for their effective and speedy disposal. This is not enough to get a favorable decision in civil matters, especially property disputes. Most of the time, when the losing party fails to comply, the winning party has to approach the court again for implementation of the order by filing an execution petition. Noting that the crisis for the litigants starts when they get the decree in their favor as they are unable to get the fruits of it for years, a bench of Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Pankaj Mithal is directing to dispose of the execution petitions within six months. After examining the data of pending cases, the bench said, “The situation as on date appears to be very appalling and dismal. We are saying this because till date there are 7,95,981 execution petitions pending across the country which are six months old.” However, the court appreciated the effort put in by the district judiciary in implementing its order as over 4.3 lakh execution petitions were decided in the last six months and around 7.7 lakh cases were disposed of in the last one year after its directions in March 2025. Pointing out that it had asked the high courts to evolve a mechanism for speedy disposal of execution petitions and to guide their district judiciaries, the court said that the high courts have not yet informed about the steps taken by them and directed them to file their response. “We wonder whether the High Courts have evolved some mechanism or provided some procedure as guidance to their respective district judiciaries for effective and speedy disposal of execution petitions. By the next date of hearing, October 7, each High Court will tell us… what kind of directions have been issued to the devolved machinery or to their respective district judicaturees,” the Supreme Court said. The top court initiated the exercise to streamline the hearing of execution petitions after it came to know of a litigant who had got a favorable judgment from the HC and SC in a property dispute in 2006. Although two decades had passed, the execution petition was still pending in the lower court. The Supreme Court had directed the executing court to ensure that vacant and peaceful possession of the suit property is handed over to the appellants as decree holders with the assistance of the police, if necessary.

Twitch streamer Leia has suddenly become part of a serious online discussion after sharing her experience involving fellow streamer Thomas “Sikkuno”. His claims surfaced during a live stream and quickly spread throughout X in April 2026. This comes shortly after another creator, Hemomal, shared a lengthy document accusing Sikkuno of harmful behavior. Since then, more people, including Leia, have begun to speak out and share their stories.

Leia is a small but active Twitch streamer with around 14,300 followers. She usually streams games like Valorant and Apex Legends and also spends time interacting with her viewers. On social media, she goes by @leiakai_ and shares parts of her daily life and fashion posts. Recently, she talked about an incident on a live stream that happened when she and Ciccunno stayed in the same hotel room during Ivo Las Vegas. She said the situation has left her confused and uncomfortable.He said:“Then in the morning, I could barely sleep that night. Then in the morning, he really didn’t want to talk about it. And I was just trying to open up and talk to him about, like, what happened.”He continued:“I don’t know, later or something. I don’t know, but I don’t remember, but he hugs me. But then pushes me off the hook onto the bed. And we have sex. And I didn’t have the ability to tell him to stop. So I let it happen.”Her words quickly spread online, as many viewers were already following the situation following the claims made against Sikkuno.

After the incident, Leia said that she tried to understand more about Sikkuno’s personal life. She asked him directly if he had been involved with many people and when was his last relationship. She shared:“‘Do you sleep a lot?’ He said, ‘No…’ and then I asked him, ‘When was your last relationship?’ “He said that three years ago.”He further said:“So in my mind, it’s crazy to think that, which is why I feel so blindsided and backstabbed because I asked these questions and they turned out to be complete lies.”Leia also told what she did after this. She said she took precautions but did not go for medical examination. His exact words were:“[After] After finding out he had slept with multiple girls… I never got tested. The only thing I did was, um, I went and got a Plan B for myself after I finished it, because I figured there was no way in hell I was going to make it. i never sleep [with anyone] Without security…”His statements have further fueled the growing conversation online, as more and more people continue to respond to the claims made against Sikkuno.

आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, लखनऊ, गाजियाबाद, कानपुर, गौतमबुद्धनगर, मेरठ और कानपुर नगर जैसे जिलों में मतदाताओं की संख्या में सबसे ज्यादा गिरावट दर्ज की गई है। यहां नाम 18.75 फीसदी से घटाकर 22.89 फीसदी कर दिया गया है. ये सभी जिले 2022 के विधानसभा चुनाव में बीजेपी के गढ़ माने जाते हैं, जहां पार्टी ने ज्यादातर सीटों पर जीत हासिल की थी. लोकसभा चुनाव के लिहाज से भी ये इलाके बीजेपी के लिए काफी अहम माने जा रहे हैं.
