इस दौरान राकेश टिकैत ने दिव्यांशु हत्याकांड में फरार आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी और कड़ी कार्रवाई के साथ नशाखोरी पर प्रभावी अंकुश लगाने की मांग की. इस पर सीएम ने मामले में ठोस कार्रवाई का आश्वासन दिया. पूर्व निर्धारित कार्यक्रम के अनुसार किसान करीब 10 बजे से आशारोड़ी चेक पोस्ट परिसर में एकत्र होने लगे। करीब 12 बजे पहुंचे टिकैत ने सबसे पहले मृतक छात्र दिव्यांशु को श्रद्धांजलि दी। उन्होंने उत्तराखंड में बढ़ते अपराध और नशे पर जमकर हमला बोला। साथ ही प्रशासन और सरकार को भी आड़े हाथों लिया.

किसानों की महापंचायत में उमड़ी भीड़ की जानकारी मिलने पर एसएसपी प्रमेंद्र डोबाल मौके पर पहुंचे और टिकैत समेत बीकेयू पदाधिकारियों को समझाने की कोशिश की, लेकिन प्रदर्शनकारी सीएम से मिलने की मांग पर अड़े रहे.

एसएसपी ने सीएम से वार्ता कराने का आश्वासन दिया तो बीकेयू की ओर से टिकैत के नेतृत्व में 12 सदस्यीय कमेटी गठित की गई, जो दिव्यांशु हत्याकांड में न्याय की लड़ाई लड़ेगी। दिनभर चली महापंचायत के बाद देर शाम बीकेयू प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से बातचीत की. सीएम द्वारा दिव्यांशु हत्याकांड में ठोस कार्रवाई का आश्वासन दिये जाने के बाद प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आंदोलन स्थगित कर दिया.

A grand tribute program was recently organized in Kerala in honor of legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam. On March 31, a 10-foot statue of the late singer was unveiled at the VT Bhattathiripad Cultural Complex in Palakkad. The statue was inaugurated by Oscar-winning musician MM Keeravani on behalf of ‘Samam’, an organization of Malayalam playback singers. The event was attended by many prominent singers and SPB family members, including his son SP Charan. Popular singers like Hariharan and KS Chitra also participated in the event. Later, a grand musical tribute called “Sangeetha Megham” was organized at a nearby ground, where more than 50 singers presented songs in the memory of SPB. The event is considered to be one of the biggest musical tributes organized in Kerala for the iconic singer.

Rajinikanth recalls a special memory with SP Balasubramaniam

Superstar Rajinikanth and actor Kamal Haasan were also invited to attend the tribute event. However, both the actors could not attend in person due to their schedules. Rather, they published emotional video clips remembering SP Balasubramaniam and his contribution towards music. In his video message, Rajinikanth spoke warmly about the singer’s talent and kind nature. According to Nakkheeran, he said, “There is no one in India who does not know S.” P. Balasubramaniam. With his voice and talent he gave happiness to millions of people.” The actor also shared a personal memory. “Once I was traveling from the United States to Chennai and I had to come to Mumbai. It was around 1.30 in the morning when SPB boarded the flight,” he recalled.

Rajinikanth praised SPB’s humility and dedication

Rajinikanth further narrated how the passengers on the flight recognized SPB and requested him to sing. The songs of the film Shankarabharanam were very popular at that time. Rajinikanth said, “On the flight, people asked him to sing the Shankarabharanam song. When he sang it once, everyone kept asking for ‘one more time’.” According to him, SPB sang happily for about one and a half hours till the flight reached Chennai. “He never showed fatigue and kept singing to make everyone happy. This shows what a wonderful human being he was,” Rajinikanth said. He also said that building a statue in Palakkad is a beautiful way to ensure that the great singer will never be forgotten.

Kamal Haasan expresses deep emotional bond with spb

Actor Kamal Haasan also shared an emotional video message during the event. He thanked the organizers and the people of Palakkad for honoring SP Balasubramaniam in such a grand manner. Kamal Haasan said, “Only great human beings can become great artists. This tribute proves how much people love him.” He also spoke about the personal bond he shares with the singer. “Everyone knows how passionate I am about SPB. I always called him ‘Annaya’ and he lovingly called me ‘Thammudu’,” he shared. Kamal said such expressions show that people still have deep affection for the great singer and his unforgettable music.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday unveiled the Air Pollution Mitigation Action Plan 2026, announcing a slew of measures including strict enforcement of the “no PUC, no fuel” rule, curbing polluting vehicles and emphasis on clean transportation and dust control.Announcing the implementation of the scheme, Gupta said the initiative builds on the government’s ‘historic’ green budget for 2026-27 and aims to translate clean air targets into measurable outcomes.Officials said the action plan announced after a high-level review meeting held at the Chief Minister Janseva Sadan aims to tackle major sources of pollution such as vehicle emissions, road dust, construction activity, industrial discharges and biomass burning.

दिल्ली-एनसीआर के परिवहन ढांचे में बड़ा बदलाव होने जा रहा है। रेल मंत्रालय और ग्रेटर नोएडा प्राधिकरण ने बोडाकी को नई दिल्ली और आनंद विहार टर्मिनल का विकल्प बनाने की योजना को अंतिम रूप दे दिया है। इस महत्वाकांक्षी परियोजना में पहले से अधिक जमीन का अधिग्रहण किया जायेगा. रेलवे बोर्ड और उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार की उच्च स्तरीय बैठक में योजना को व्यापक रूप दिया गया. अब बोडाकी उत्तर भारत का प्रमुख ट्रांजिट हब बनकर उभरेगा, जहां यात्री सुविधाओं के विस्तार के साथ 100 से अधिक ट्रेनों का संचालन किया जा सकेगा।

परियोजना विस्तार एवं भूमि अधिग्रहण
शुरुआत में सिर्फ 39 एकड़ जमीन पर काम होना था, लेकिन अब इसका विस्तार 138 एकड़ तक कर दिया गया है. ग्रेटर नोएडा अथॉरिटी ने कहा कि संशोधित योजना के तहत 13 प्लेटफॉर्म और करीब 63 यार्ड लाइनें बनाई जाएंगी. इस परियोजना के माध्यम से आसपास के सात गांवों चमरावली, बोडाकी, दादरी, तिलपता करणवास, पाली, पल्ला और चमरावली रामगढ़ की भूमि का अधिग्रहण किया जाएगा। करीब एक हजार किसान प्रभावित होंगे। प्रभावित किसानों को मुआवजा और 6 फीसदी विकसित जमीन देने का विकल्प भी दिया जाएगा. इसके लिए प्राधिकरण करीब 250 एकड़ अतिरिक्त जमीन खरीदेगा।

मल्टीमॉडल ट्रांजिट हब के रूप में बोडाकी
बोड़ाकी सिर्फ एक रेलवे स्टेशन नहीं होगा. यह एक इंटीग्रेटेड मल्टीमॉडल ट्रांजिट हब (MMTH) बन जाएगा। यहां यात्रियों को तीन तरह की सुविधाएं मिलेंगी- रेलवे टर्मिनल, इंटरस्टेट बस टर्मिनल (आईएसबीटी) और नोएडा मेट्रो एक्सटेंशन। यात्रियों के लिए यह सुविधा एक ही परिसर में उपलब्ध होगी।

जेवर एयरपोर्ट और औद्योगिक निवेश को बढ़ावा मिलेगा
बोडाकी टर्मिनल सीधे तौर पर जेवर एयरपोर्ट और यमुना सिटी से जुड़ जाएगा. इससे गाजियाबाद, नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा के यात्रियों को दिल्ली जाने की जरूरत नहीं पड़ेगी. फेज-1 के तहत 358 एकड़ में 1700 करोड़ रुपये का निवेश प्रस्तावित है. लॉजिस्टिक्स हब विकसित करने से भविष्य में बड़े औद्योगिक एवं वाणिज्यिक निवेश को बढ़ावा मिलेगा।

आनंद विहार का दबाव कम होगा
बोडाकी को सैटेलाइट टर्मिनल बनाने से आनंद विहार टर्मिनल पर बोझ कम हो जाएगा। 105 मीटर चौड़ी सड़क और लॉजिस्टिक हब से जुड़ने के बाद यह क्षेत्र उत्तर भारत का प्रमुख व्यावसायिक और परिवहन केंद्र बन जाएगा.

Commuters in Islamabad and Punjab will not have to pay fares on government transport for the next 30 days, officials announced on Friday.

Large scale unrest broke out after petrol prices were increased by 42.7% to Rs 485 per liter overnight, leading to protests and long queues at fuel stations. However, following public outcry, Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif later revised the hike, bringing petrol down to Rs 378 per litre. “This reduction will be in place for at least a month,” he said during a televised address, adding, “I promise I will not rest until your life returns to normal.”“Talking about diesel prices, the government had increased the price of HSD by PKR 184.49 per liter from PKR 335.86 to PKR 520.35, but abolished the levy, bringing some relief to citizens.Giving details of the relief measures, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said, “All public transport in Islamabad will be made free for the general public for the next 30 days starting tomorrow (Saturday),” noting that the government will bear the cost of Rs 350 million.Punjab, reflecting this move, has removed fares on public transport and introduced “targeted subsidies” for trucks and buses. CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif also appealed to transport operators not to burden passengers, saying, “We promise to relieve the public from the financial burden as soon as the situation improves.”In Karachi, similar steps have been taken by the Sindh government, which has announced subsidies for motorcyclists and small farmers.

Pakistan is under stress due to Middle East tension

The conflict led to retaliatory attacks across the Gulf and disrupted movement through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for energy supplies, particularly to Asia.To manage the strain, Pakistan has introduced a series of fuel-saving measures, including a four-day workweek for many government offices, extended school holidays and, in some cases, a shift to online classes.Economic pressures are being felt sharply in a country where about 25% of its population of 240 million lives in poverty, according to World Bank data. Earlier in March, fuel prices had already been raised by 20 per cent, with officials initially opposed to further hikes.Protests broke out in Lahore on Friday, where protesters demanded the government to roll back the hike. Protester Naveed Ahmed, 39, said, “The government has dropped ‘petrol bombs’ on its own people overnight.” “Our country cannot tolerate this situation right now. This storm of inflation has to be stopped and the public has to be provided relief.”Another protester, Hafiz Abdul Rauf, questioned the logic behind the increase, saying, “The increase we are seeing is not because of the (Iran) war, but because of pressure from the IMF, the pressure must be resisted. For God’s sake, step back from these demands and show some compassion for the people.”The pressure is not limited to Pakistan. Bangladesh also increased the prices of liquefied petroleum gas and compressed natural gas by 29%. Meanwhile, the International Monetary Fund warned earlier this week that weaker economies face not only rising energy costs but also disruptions to supply chains. On March 28, it said it had reached a preliminary agreement with Pakistan on a $1.2 billion support package.
