Ardeshir‑Larijani worked as a medical doctor and taught at the Winship Cancer Institute at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. His profile was later removed from the university’s website amid protests and demands for his departure.Supporters of action against him argued that his family’s ties to a regime hostile to the United States raised a potential concern.
