New Delhi: A powerful new AI model is forcing governments, banks and technology companies to rethink cybersecurity rules — and in India, the risk may be even higher.Cloud Mythos, developed by Anthropic, has demonstrated the ability to autonomously detect and exploit software vulnerabilities, including flaws that have existed for decades. Initial tests showed that the model could identify long-standing vulnerabilities and simulate complex, multi-step cyberattacks, prompting the company to restrict its wider release. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei highlighted the change, noting that AI systems are now able to find vulnerabilities that “humans have missed”, a sign of how rapidly the cybersecurity landscape is changing.US Treasury Secretary Scott Besant reportedly called a meeting with top bank executives – including leaders from JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, BoA and Morgan Stanley – to assess the risks posed by such advanced AI systems.That concern is not ideological. According to Jaideep Singh, GM of India at Kaspersky, the emergence of such systems is a turning point not just for security professionals, but for everyday users. “We are closely monitoring how AI is reshaping the threat landscape, and the cloud mythos represents a moment that not just the cybersecurity industry but every user needs to understand,” Singh said.The dual-use nature of AI is a point of concern. The same capabilities that strengthen security can just as easily be weaponized. “The same capability that detects 27-year-old vulnerabilities in robust infrastructure is the same capability that turns every unpatched system into an open door if it gets into the wrong hands,” Singh said.Cybersecurity firm Check Point Software Technologies reiterated the warning. Check Point’s MD, India and South Asia, Sundar Balasubramaniam, says AI is “dramatically lowering the barrier of entry for cyber attackers,” enabling even less-skilled actors to identify and exploit vulnerabilities. He said defensive tools could be repurposed offensively, thereby bridging the traditional gap between attackers and defenders. Jayant Saran, partner, Deloitte India, described this as a “changed reality” where organizations must prepare for risks that were previously invisible. He called AI a “double-edged sword…that cannot be reversed”, highlighting the growing race between those who secure systems and those who attempt to break them.In India, the risks increase according to the scale. From UPI to banking and government platforms, millions of people depend on digital infrastructure – much of it built on legacy systems. These systems are often slow to patch, difficult to monitor, and lack continuous threat intelligence, creating what Saran calls “asymmetric risk exposure.” Singh noted that this gap is especially important in India, where legacy infrastructure serves millions of people.Beyond cybersecurity, the ripple effect could reach financial markets. Analysts say models like Mythos can automate parts of the IT services industry’s core functions – software development, testing and security. Although disruption may occur gradually, labor-intensive outsourcing models may face pressure, while companies adopting AI may benefit.
लखनऊ के विकास नगर इलाके में देर रात लगी भीषण आग से पूरा इलाका दहल गया. इस दर्दनाक हादसे में एक ही परिवार की दो मासूम बहनें जिंदा जल गईं। आग इतनी भीषण थी कि आसपास की झोपड़ियां और सामान भी जलकर राख हो गया. घटना के वक्त बच्चों के माता-पिता घर से बाहर थे, जिसके कारण दोनों बच्चियां घर में ही फंसी रह गईं। सूचना मिलते ही फायर ब्रिगेड और पुलिस की टीम मौके पर पहुंची, लेकिन तब तक बहुत देर हो चुकी थी। इस हादसे से इलाके में शोक और अफरा-तफरी का माहौल है.
मासूम बच्चियां घर में फंसी रह गईं
मृतक बच्चियों की पहचान 2 साल की श्रुति और 2 महीने की नवजात बच्ची के रूप में हुई है. दोनों लड़कियाँ सतीश की बेटियाँ थीं। घटना के समय उसके माता-पिता किसी काम से घर से बाहर गए थे। इसी दौरान अचानक घर में आग लग गयी और देखते ही देखते आग ने विकराल रूप धारण कर लिया. दोनों मासूम बच्चे अंदर ही फंसे रहे और बाहर नहीं निकल सके।
देर रात मलबे से शव बरामद हुए
आग बुझाने के बाद देर रात मलबे की तलाश की गई, जिसमें दोनों लड़कियों के शव बरामद हुए. पुलिस ने शवों को कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया है. घटना के बाद से परिवार का रो-रोकर बुरा हाल है और पूरे इलाके में मातम छाया हुआ है.
झोपड़ियां और मवेशी भी आग की चपेट में हैं
इस भीषण आग में न सिर्फ एक परिवार बल्कि आसपास की कई झोपड़ियां भी जलकर राख हो गईं. लोगों का घरेलू सामान पूरी तरह नष्ट हो गया. इसके साथ ही कुत्ते, मुर्गियां और बकरियां जैसे कई मवेशी भी जिंदा जल गए, जिससे लोगों को भारी नुकसान हुआ.
बाराबंकी निवासी परिवार पर दुखों का पहाड़ टूट पड़ा
बताया जा रहा है कि पीड़ित परिवार मूल रूप से बाराबंकी का रहने वाला है और कई सालों से विकास नगर में रह रहा था. इस हादसे ने परिवार को पूरी तरह तोड़ दिया है.
इलाके में मचा हड़कंप, जांच जारी
आग लगने के बाद पूरे इलाके में अफरा-तफरी मच गई. लोग अपने घरों से बाहर निकल आए और बचाव कार्य शुरू कर दिया। फिलहाल आग लगने का कारण पता नहीं चल पाया है. पुलिस और प्रशासन मामले की जांच कर रहा है.

Thank you for bringing attention to this matter!” He added.Trump’s comments come after Mamdani announced a new tax targeting owners of luxury second homes worth $5 million or more.The measure is expected to raise up to $500 million for the city and will apply to individuals who do not live full-time in New York but invest in its real estate market.Defending the move, Mamdani described the tax as “designed specifically for the richest people” and said it aimed to address a “fundamentally unfair system that hurts working New Yorkers,” according to a video shared on social media.
New Delhi: Interacting with visiting Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that India and Austria support stable, lasting and lasting peace in Ukraine and West Asia, reiterating that military conflict will not resolve the issues. Another LOI will provide an institutional framework for military cooperation and defense technology partnership based on the India-EU Defense and Security Partnership.Bilateral ties were boosted by Modi’s visit to Vienna in 2024, the first by an Indian prime minister in 41 years. Apart from the six agreements, nine announcements were made in high-technology, education, space, startups and cyber security.Modi said the India-EU FTA marked a new phase, adding that relations with Austria are entering a new era with cooperation in defence, semiconductors, technology and biotechnology.

America says that the number of Indians applying for green cards through the EB-5 program is increasing.
Indian-origin tech entrepreneur Vijay Thirumalai has hit back at the hatred against Indians on social media, which got a new excuse after the State Department released its May 2026 visa bulletin through the EB-5 green card program. the department said green card EB-5 investors from India may suddenly see a backlog because of the huge demand for this green card. “Substantial demand by India and utilization of the increased numbers in the EB-5 unreserved visa categories may make it unnecessary to push back the final action date or may render the category unavailable for use for the maximum number permitted under the FY 2026 annual limit. The situation will be continuously monitored, and any necessary adjustments will be made accordingly,” the visa bulletin said. For EB-5, one must create jobs in the US to obtain a green card. USCIS’ warning that India is using this route more than ever has angered US CEOs. Hany Girgis, founder of an American ed-tech company, wrote, “This is the same country that already dominates the H-1B and OPT backlog. The entire employment-based green card system is collapsing under the weight of one country’s demand. It’s time to reform the border and put Americans first.” Thirumali objected to the targeting of investor Indians and reminded Girgis that these Indians were paying taxes, investing $800K in the US to get green cards. Tirumalai wrote, “Indians are doing a favor by investing in EB5, not the other way around. Instead of spewing racist garbage and venom and imposing a 7% country cap on Indian investors, it would be much better for the US economy to have an accelerated EB5 queue for Indians, so that US companies can save billions of dollars in capital costs every year.” “Without Indian demand, 95% of EB5 projects will not be fully subscribed and lenders and valuable assets like senior housing, data centers, industrial warehousing, which support the US economy, cannot be built,” Thirumalai said.
New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Thursday said being in an extramarital affair cannot be a ground to prosecute a spouse if he commits suicide due to tension in the relationship, adding that abetment to suicide requires a positive act of abetment.A bench of Justices KV Vishwanathan and Atul Chandurkar said that to sustain the charge under Section 306 of the Penal Code, it must be shown that the accused contributed to the suicide through a direct or indirect act. Provocation requires an active act that leaves the deceased with no other option than to take his or her own life.Dismissing the case against a man who allegedly had an affair with the deceased’s wife, the Supreme Court said even if an illicit relationship is assumed, there is no reason for abetment of suicide. “There is no allegation that the appellant abetted her suicide or aided her in committing suicide by any act or illegal omission,” the bench said.The top court set aside the Chhattisgarh HC order which had allowed the trial to proceed on the grounds that the deceased was upset over his wife’s alleged affair. It rejected the prosecution’s argument that the presence of his partner amounted to inciting insult.However, the relief is only for that person, as the wife of the deceased, who is also an accused, did not challenge the case against her. “There must be some material to indicate a positive act of abetment,” the Supreme Court said, adding that such abetment must be close to the act of suicide to establish a clear nexus.
कौशांबी जिले में उस वक्त अफरा-तफरी मच गई जब सड़क पर दौड़ रहे कूड़ा लदे डंपर में अचानक भीषण आग लग गई. आग इतनी तेजी से फैली कि कुछ ही मिनटों में डंपर जलने लगा. घटना को देख आसपास के लोग डर गए और मौके पर अफरा-तफरी मच गई. राहत की बात यह रही कि डंपर चालक ने समय रहते कूदकर अपनी जान बचा ली। आग लगने के कारण कुछ देर के लिए यातायात प्रभावित हुआ और सड़क पर लंबा जाम लग गया.
हादसा रामपुर धमावा पुल के पास हुआ
यह घटना पइंसा थाना क्षेत्र के रामपुर धमावा पुल के पास की बताई जा रही है. जानकारी के मुताबिक कूड़े से लदा एक डंपर सड़क पर जा रहा था तभी अचानक उसमें आग लग गई. आग इतनी तेज थी कि देखते ही देखते पूरे डंपर को अपनी चपेट में ले लिया। स्थिति को समझते हुए ड्राइवर ने तुरंत गाड़ी से कूदकर अपनी जान बचाई।
आग लगने से मची अफरा-तफरी, यातायात प्रभावित
डंपर में आग लगते ही वहां मौजूद लोगों में डर और दहशत फैल गई. लोग सुरक्षित दूरी पर चले गए और कुछ देर के लिए सड़क पर यातायात रुक गया। आग लगने से दूर-दूर तक धुआं फैल गया, जिससे आसपास के लोगों को परेशानी हुई।
फायर टीम ने मोर्चा संभाला
घटना की जानकारी मिलते ही स्थानीय लोगों ने तुरंत फायर ब्रिगेड को सूचना दी. मौके पर पहुंची दमकल विभाग की टीम ने आग बुझाने का काम शुरू किया. कड़ी मशक्कत के बाद आग पर काबू पाने की कोशिश की गई. आग आसपास के इलाके में न फैल सके और कोई बड़ा नुकसान न हो इसके लिए रेस्क्यू टीम लगातार जुटी रही.
आग लगने के कारणों की जांच जारी है
फिलहाल आग लगने का सही कारण पता नहीं चल पाया है. शुरुआती अनुमान के मुताबिक यह हादसा तकनीकी खराबी या अत्यधिक गर्मी के कारण हुआ हो सकता है. पुलिस और दमकल विभाग मामले की जांच कर रहे हैं और सभी पहलुओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए जांच को आगे बढ़ाया जा रहा है.
