Meerut: Jitendra Kumar, a private contractor from Bulandshahr, opened fire on his guests at his birthday party when they put cake on his face against his wishes, killing three members of the same family. Kumar is absconding. A triple murder took place inside a gym in Khurja area of ​​the district on Saturday night. Those present included the local councilor’s cousin Amardeep Saini (32), brother Manish Saini (30) and nephew Akash Saini (19). At around 11 pm, there was a heated argument between Kumar and Amardeep regarding the installation of the cake. The contractor went away and returned with a pistol. “Amardeep and Manish were shot at close range, while Akash tried to run away, was chased and shot,” SP (rural) Antariksh Jain said. Police said Kumar removed the CCTV digital video recorder before fleeing. Police were informed around midnight that three people had been “shot”. Doctors declared him dead at a nearby private hospital. “CCTV footage from other areas is being scanned. An FIR was lodged against 10 people, including Kumar, under BNS sections related to the murder. Gym owner Rupesh Kumar and two others were arrested on Sunday,” Jain said. “Liquor bottles and beer cans were found at the scene,” he said. Manish and Amardeep were farmers and Akash was looking for a job. Manish has a two-year-old daughter, while Amardeep leaves behind a five-year-old son and an infant daughter.
