Sitarist Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma’s spectacular performance amidst a huge crowd of people in New Chandigarh as part of the Sitar for Mental Health India Tour in the city was a spectacular event.The highlight of the evening was his rendition of ‘Kit Bidh Maili’, a Shabad from Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Ang 168), which he had composed. Raga Gauri BaraganBy Guru Ramdas. The hymn expressed a heartfelt desire to unite with the true Guru, guiding the listeners towards inner reflection and divine connection through grace.

Gurbani Shabad awakens spiritual longing and contemplation. Starting with his distinctive style of guided breathing sessions, Sharma blends classical depth with contemporary favorites and Bollywood tunes through ragas like Bihag, Kedar and Tilak Kamod. The closing ceremony received a standing ovation from the audience.

His electric sitar, Sitara, a next generation electric sitar conceived by his father Sanjay Sharma, added a modern visual edge. Their performance was accompanied by a spectacle of lighting, fireworks and larger-than-life animation that kept the audience engaged in the experience.

He seamlessly blends original compositions like Shankar, Shiv Kailash, Burning Ghat, Belua and Roslin with evocative sitar interpretations of global and contemporary favorites including Harry Potter x Game of Thrones along with Bollywood classics like Kal Ho Na Ho, Zara Zara and Tumhi Dekho Na. The grand finale featuring Chanakya, Kautilya, Venkateswara and Tandavam brought the audience to their feet with thunderous applause.
