He was 67 years old.Lake Havasu City police said he died from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.According to the Arizona Police Department, officers were dispatched to Sheets’ residence in the early hours of April 22 after a report of a dead person. In a statement, police said, “On April 22, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, Lake Havasu City Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1500 block of Chandler Drive in reference to a deceased individual.”Sheets was pronounced dead at the scene, Deadline reports.The case has been turned over to the department’s Criminal Investigation Unit, and the body has been transferred to the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office for further examination. “Additional information will be released as it becomes available,” police said.Born in California on May 13, 1958, Sheets became a familiar face on the hit show ‘Storage Wars’, appearing in 163 episodes between 2010 and 2023. The series follows America’s epic bidding wars over abandoned storage lockers. Each episode ends with a winner based on the profit in value of the items discovered inside the trailer.After suffering a heart attack in 2019, Sheets stepped back from the large-scale storage auction business and made infrequent appearances on the show. According to reports, he relocated to Arizona, where he operated an antiques shop.
