Nashik: A staffer at a hospital in Nashik lost his life after his head got stuck in a small goods lift on Monday, police said.Jyoti Shivaji Ahire (50), a contractual employee at Dr Vasantrao Pawar Medical Hospital, College and Research Centre, was peeking inside the dumbwaiter lift around 10:30 am when the incident happened.Police said she had put her head inside to check whether the lift was running or not when it suddenly fell down, causing serious head injuries. Police said, “He put his head inside to see if the lift was running or not, when the lift suddenly came down, causing serious head injuries to Ahire. He succumbed to the injuries.”A case has been registered at Adgaon police station and further investigation is underway.(with agency input)
