New Delhi: After more than a year pahalgam terrorist attackPakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, through operatives allegedly linked to the Shehzad Bhatti module, had allegedly planned attacks on a historic temple in Delhi, a popular dhaba on the Delhi-Sonipat highway and an army camp in Haryana, sources said on Friday.The alleged conspiracy was revealed during the interrogation of nine suspected operatives of the module, who were arrested by the Delhi Police Special Cell from several states under its ‘Gang Bust Operation 2.0’.According to sources in news agency PTI, investigators found that one of the accused had conducted reconnaissance of a historic temple in Delhi and shared photographs of the complex with Pakistan-based handlers through social media platforms.A source said the module had allegedly planned to target police and paramilitary personnel deployed at the temple and open fire to create panic and disruption.The source further said that the accused were also assigned the task of carrying out a grenade attack on a popular dhaba on the Delhi-Sonipat highway, frequented by thousands of people daily, with the intention of causing large-scale damage and casualties.“An army camp in Hisar was also reportedly surveilled and videos of the area were shared with cross-border operators. Some police stations in Uttar Pradesh were also on the target list,” the source said.
