New Delhi: Himanta Biswa Sarma ready to take oath as Chief Minister of Assam On Tuesday, he became the first non-Congress leader from the state to achieve this feat for the second consecutive time.The swearing-in ceremony for the third consecutive term of the BJP-led NDA government in Assam will be held at the Veterinary College Field in Khanapara at 11:40 am.Prime Minister Narendra Modi Senior BJP leaders and Union ministers including Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman and Sarbananda Sonowal are expected to attend the event. BJP national president Nitin Nabin and several NDA chief ministers and deputy chief ministers are also likely to be present.Governor Laxman Prasad Acharya, who formally appointed Sarma as chief minister on Sunday, will administer the oath of office and secrecy to him and the new council of ministers.Sarma, who became chief minister for the first time in 2021, will now join a select group of BJP leaders under PM Modi to hold the top post in their states continuously.
