They linked arms to form a human chain moving towards the water’s edge. A man was saved from falling down the slope into the water. Others lay down and balanced on the slope as far as possible while others held him securely. After tense minutes, they grabbed the dog by the collar and pulled him to dry ground, wet but safe.
