New Delhi: Expelled Trinamool Congress Leader Ritabrata Banerjee on Friday expressed confidence that support for the rebel TMC faction he leads will continue to “grow”.Ritabrata’s comments came amid internal turmoil Mamata Banerjee‘s party.The expelled TMC leader claimed that he has the support of a large section of MLAs due to the party’s strength in the West Bengal Assembly. He said that the number of supporting MLAs will increase. However, he clarified that he is not in touch with any TMC MP.Bengal opposition leader and rebel TMC leader Ritabrata Banerjee said, “I will say only one thing – our numbers will keep increasing. I am absolutely sure.” There is no question of (numbers) falling. Let’s wait and see. As far as the number of MLAs is concerned, the number will keep increasing…I have not spoken to any MP in the last week.He also appealed to Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari to take action BJP Leader Priyanka Tibrewal, who reportedly protested outside the residence of fellow rebel TMC leader Sandipan Saha.Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly and expelled Trinamool Congress leader Ritabrata Banerjee said, “Defeated BJP candidate from Entley AC Priyanka Tibrewal protested in front of Sandipan Saha’s house. This is shameful. We have registered a case against this incident in New Market PS. We appeal to CM Suvendu Adhikari to never support such an act and take action against it.”He further said, “If there was public anger, was she also a part of the public? What was she doing there? Sandipan Saha’s house is not in Entley constituency, but in Chowringhee constituency. They (BJP) did this by gathering people from outside.”Ritabrata’s bid for the post of Leader of Opposition in Bengal has increased the chaos in TMC as party supremo Mamata Banerjee herself has accepted defeat from her Bhabanipur constituency. The setback increased TMC’s troubles as the party lost power after 15 years and BJP won the state for the first time.
